No one is around (except for us) for a mile to any side; our 600 acre homestead is bordered by a 500 foot Canyon, and my house site of 5 acres is right on the bluff overlooking Kachemak Bay with mountains and glaciers on the other side. We offer: hot outdoor shower, your private outhouse, and clean 100% cotton bedding and towels provided, plus a heater! The outdoor camp kitchen offers barbecue, hotplate, pure drinking water, spices and oils to complement your own cooking. NOTE: The bed is a extra large Twin size, so best suitable for a single person, although a BYO tent could be set up on the large decking or lawn if necessary for extra guests. The Kilcher beach is a short 15 minute walk where you can stroll for miles in solitude trolling for shells and rocks and views. If you don't have a car, a taxi can bring you for about $40 from the airport or from Homer. Conceivably you could just fly into Homer and not rent a car; just take a cab for groceries, then to here and stay immersed in beauty for days and days!
