Halibut Hideaway on the water has spectacular mountain views of Mt. St. Elias and Monti Bay. You are only a few steps from fishing for Salmon and Halibut. Take a 30-45 minute boat ride and you can view Hubbard Glacier or head out the road to view moose and brown bear. Yakutat offers world class steelhead, salmon and halibut fishing as well as exceptional duck, sandhill crane, moose and brown bear hunting. Yakutat is an outdoorsman utopia. Guest access You will be using the garage to enter and exit your downstairs unit. There is a garage door opener for your vehicle, we will provide you with a code after booking to access the garage initially. We ask that you return the garage door opener upon check out. Other things to note We do not allow fishing gear or shoes in the house as Yakutat is very rocky and sandy and it wears on the maple steps very quickly. Please be careful using the steps as they can be very slippery in socks.
