The space The main focal point of the cottage is the huge east facing sunroom, surrounded by windows. Enjoy 180 degree lake views, early morning sun and coffee beside the fireplace. With a large dining room and games table, couch, dart board and fireplace, evening activities also seem to migrate to this stunning room. When you’re at the Winnett House you should feel like you just put on your favourite sweater, and it’s Sunday morning. The bedrooms are decorated with fresh 100% cotton linens, crisp and clean with comfortable beds. The cottage is big enough that everyone can find their own corner when needed. The cottage can host many different groups from a skiers vacation, to a family getaway, to a romantic weekend for 2. Even a girls knitting weekend, with all kinds of reasons for a visit I can confidently say everyone that has stayed has thoroughly enjoyed the space. The guidebook that is made available after booking has recommended locations for day trips, restaurants, shopping, antique hunting, beaches, hiking trails and lots of other activities in the area for longer stays. Main attractions include the ski hill in the winter, which is only a five minute drive. The lake in the summer, which is a minute and a half walk from the front door. Linens, towels, stocked kitchen, tea,coffee,spices. All you need is your suitcase and groceries. Other things to note The cottage has high speed/unlimited wifi. The dreamy bed in the first photo is in the sunroom. It is a “day bed”, so no enclosed walls.
