The Sycamore BnB @ 10.7 Marina

Stay above 10.7 Marina on the Allegheny River, in Verona, PA, a little river town about 10.7 miles upriver from Downtown Pittsburgh. Enjoy a complementary kayak frompad board or canoe rental to enjoy a river adventure or dip in the Allegheny to cool off. Create your own river adventure to Sycamore Island, or Plum Creek to explore. You can also take it easy and hang out on the deck with panoramic views of this “lake like view” and enjoy the many sunsets. Eat, drink and shop many local spots. The space This Airbnb is located above an active marina. You have to go up a flight of stairs to access the apartment. There are two staircases. One with 11 stairs and the other has 10! Please refer to the pictures. 10.7 Marina has Kayak, SUP and Canoe rentals that runs through the week. On premise we have a small motor boat marina. On Friday, Saturdays and Sundays we have live music, food trucks and pop brewery & distilleries. Verona and Oakmont are infused with yummy restaurants, breweries, antiques &boutiques to go a wondering. Check out the events @ 10.7 Marina. It is not unusual to spy a blue heron, bald eagles or even a beaver or a turtle among other river inhabitants. We have enjoyed walking along sandy beaches of the Allegheny collecting treasures of the river both natural and man made. Around the Airbnb you find many treasures collected on one of our adventures. Noise & Marina Activity: This an active Marina. We have a Kayak, Sup and Canoe Rental business that runs thru out the week. There are other boats in the Marina that will be your neighbor. We have events Friday, Saturday and Sunday with live music, brewery/distilleries, and food trucks. Typically music ends by 9. There is a train across the river that is on the loud side. It varies on time that it comes by. We have rowing teams that are often out early in the morning. They use a mega phone to communicate with their rowers so it can be noisy. Other things to note This apartment has 17 stairs to climb up to the apartment. This will not be a good fit for people that have trouble climbing stairs or if you can not carry your suitcase up the stairs. Verona is a quaint neighborhood with a few restaurants, a coffee shop two breweries and a cider house and meadery all within walking distance of the marina. Oakmont is our neighboring community with many yummy restaurants and shops that can be accessed with a 3 min car ride, 15 min bike ride, 30 min walk. Once there the community is walkable to the shops and restaurants.
