Timeless and comfortable turn of the century home w/ modern amenities, 5 bedrooms, (lots of closets), two bathrooms, open living room & formal dining table. Also, bright sunny kitchen with new oven and stove. Highlights include central AC, cast iron tub, Weber grill, solo stove, simple hottub, fenced in yard and highly functional kitchen. * upstairs bathroom has tub/shower combo. Downstairs bathroom has cast iron soaking tub Built in 1909 but feels like a MCM dream! Steps from Cornell campus and a 10-minute walk down the hill to the commons and downtown Ithaca. Only .6 mile walk to Schoellkopf Field for Graduation! This is a really great house for gatherings with family and friends. While we don't have children, we have hosted multi-generational families and can accommodate cribs/high chairs with advanced notice. The large dining and living room can seat 8+ people, and our kitchen is a nice size for cooking, plus the grill is right past the sliding glass doors on the deck, which features beautiful sunsets and sunrises! The deck makes you feel like you're up in the trees. Our hot tub (new Jan 2021) is located in the backyard and accessible by the back stairs or basement. Four adults fit comfortably. Our backyard is also fully enclosed in case you bring your dog. We have 1 king-sized cooling gel mattress w/ adjustable base (new Jan 2020), 2 queen beds (One queen is a Tempurpedic mattress), 1 Twin XL mattress w/ trundle single bed, and 2 air mattresses that can comfortably host 6-10 people. Nice views from the back deck and traditional front porch in a cute neighborhood. Great space to gather and relax. The entire house will be yours to enjoy except for our glam room and attic, where we store our personal items. Our basement is not finished, and do not suggest being down there. We will be available as needed; generally the remote entry lock means we don’t need to interact often with guests in-person. If you’d like personal house tour upon arrival, just indicate prior to check in. We are in the Bryant Park/Belle Sherman neighborhood, on the cusp of Collegetown. Located a couple blocks from parks, an elementary school with playground, walking trails and gorge hikes, and a very short walk to Cornell campus. Our driveway can fit 3-4 cars, and there is street parking available out front. We are a couple of blocks from the Schwartz center bus stop; approximately 15-minute walk to the commons downtown. Please note, this is a private residential and lived in home. We will completely move out of the house to accommodate your stay, but personal items can be found throughout the home. Cornell University and Ithaca College graduation dates are very popular, we prefer 5 nights is possible, feel free to inquire! We have a small 40lb dog, Stevie Nicks. The house will be professionally cleaned prior to your stay, but please advise if your group has any animal allergies.
