Farm stay in Pepin
Description
This historic farm house is located on a working farm at Barry Corner, where the Barry family lived from 1864-1881. Anna Barry was the teacher of Laura Ingalls Wilder. The farm is just up the hill from Pepin, and a short distance from Stockholm, Maiden Rock, and Plum City. The house was built in 1900 becoming a home to 4 generations of one local farming family. In 2020 the property was passed onto a neighboring farm family. Swede Heir Rentals, LLC invites you to stay on the farm! #swedeheirbn The space This spacious farmhouse and surrounding property is perfect for your family reunion or vacation, wedding parties, or a weekend getaway with friends! If you need more space for your group, please check into our Farmhand cottage, which is a space for 4 more guests located across the driveway at this same address. Enjoy watching our herd of beef cattle and other farm animals, be enamored by a walk through the grove of evergreens planted in the year 1900, and meet the farmers if you would like! We are licensed to sell retail cuts of meat raised on our farm. If you would like to purchase some of our meat for your stay on our farm or to take home, please contact us. We do ask that you do not go in the pasture or in any barns or sheds on the property unless you are accompanied by Paul or Angie, the farmers. Please also be aware that this is a working farm, and we are around daily to take care of the animals and nearby fields. We kindly ask that if you would like a tour to set up a time with us. Guest access We ask that our guests don't enter the basement unless a storm would require doing so. Guests are not allowed in the barns, sheds, the pasture, or animal pens on the farm property.
