Cute cabin with feather duvets to keep you warm & Queen loft bed. Outhouse, out door hot water on demand shower and wood fired outdoor bath. Wood fired tub takes 1.5 hours to heat, Long-term stays welcome. There are very steep stairs to the loft, there is limited electricity...meaning you can't plug too many items in at the same time. There is a rustic outdoor kitchen with coffee, tea & ice chest. If you want to experience outdoor life in the Yukon yet still be close to the City this is the place for you. Just a 5 minute drive, 20 minute bike ride or 10 minute canoe to the City Centre. The property backs onto forest where bears, deer, fox and wolves can sometimes be seen wandering down the rad. Your queen bed is comfy and warm with feather duvets. You will have access to the property, free parking, fire-pit, trampoline, picnic table, there are bee hives and 2 pigs onsite. We are hosting because this is our dream, to cook, eat and share stories with people from around the world. Someone will always be home to answer questions. We always host ( a workaway or helpex person) someone who is traveling the world to help with cooking, cleaning and check-in so you will have the opportunity to make new connections around the world. Down a dirt road when you get here you feel like you have gone out into the wilderness, but then look across the river and see the Farmers Market, hear concerts or bagpipes at the festivals. Watch the canoe races from the river bank. Access the Mountain biking trails from our back door. Walk to the nicest swimming lake in Whitehorse or go ice fishing in the Winter 1.5 km to the nearest bus stop. Taxi $15-18 into town $30-36 from Airport Limited electricity- cant boil water and have the heater running at the same time or it will trip the breaker, we will then turn it back on for you.
