The Book & Table Inn is in a restored 1890's building in the gentrified downtown of Valdosta, Georgia on the corner of Patterson and historic Bennie's Alley, the most photographed spot in South Georgia. The November Room is both very small and very well designed (think of a cabin in a yacht). The 12' ceiling makes the room seem larger and enables the loft queen bed. The room opens to both the hallway and the Able Strength Memorial Garden. The bathroom is totally new and modern. In addition to the modern private room, guests can access the adjoining private courtyard that is shared between the November and September Rooms. Guests also have access to 24 hour coffee, tea, bottled water in the hallway past the November room in the SHARED refreshment nook that has a small refrigerator and microwave. This building houses the Southern Cellar and down the hall is the November room. The Southern Cellar is an upscale wine bar the features live music on some weekends. Enjoy a glass of wine and gourmet charcuterie all in the same building as the November room. *****Please note we are in the middle of an exterior renovation to fix storm damage from hurricane idalia. They usually start around 8-9 am in the morning. You may hear some noises in the room until around sunset.***** There is a big parking lot with free parking attached to the back of the building and very easy to access the building's entrance. Public transport is offered in Valdosta through the Valdosta On-Demand transit app. Other transportation available through taxi's, Uber, and Lyft. The courthouse, The Mckey and The Patterson event spaces are located within 2 blocks from us and are easily within walking distance. There are restaurants, gift shops, coffee houses, art shops, a gallery, a museum and other venues for visitors. Hello we have had a change in our building. GŪD coffee shop that was located in our building has moved a few doors down to a bigger space for their shop. They’ll just be a quick walk down the road from us with all your coffee and food needs! We now have a beautiful wine and cheese space called The Southern Cellar. It is an upscale wine bar offering an international wine list and light fare in a contemporary setting. Their hours are Wednesday-Thursday 4-10pm, Friday-Saturday 4-11pm, Closed Sunday-Tuesday. Make sure to check it out if you get a chance. You will not be disappointed.
