Castle Bay Cottage

This adorable completely re-modeled cottage is steps away from the beautiful, sandy, salt water beach known as Coolen's Beach in Shad Bay, Nova Scotia. Twenty minutes from Halifax with hiking, kayaking, golf courses and restaurants all close by and scenic Peggy's Cove a short 20 minute drive away. We have created a charming and super comfortable retreat. We are sure our guests will enjoy the relaxing, peaceful vibe that this hidden little gem offers. The space In addition to the queen size bed in the bedroom, the pull out futon bed in the back room and the queen size pull out sofa bed in the living room, there is a sleeping loft (much like a bunk bed) that is suitable for older children and adults (see pictures in the listing). The sleeping loft is a cozy little area ideal for an extra sleeping space and our guests are welcome to use it but please be aware that it is accessed by a small set of rather steep steps that require some level of physical fitness to get up and down. It is probably not suitable for most seniors and definitely not suitable for very young children. Please use at your own discretion and risk. Guest access You will have the entire cottage to yourselves. Please let us know if you have any special requests - we will try our best to accommodate. Other things to note Please enjoy the barbecue, propane fire table, and patio furniture located on the back deck. Please be sure that the propane tank gauges for the barbecue and fire table are shut to "off" after each use. Furniture cushions are stowed in the deck box. As it can get damp in the evenings, please re-stow the cushions in the deck box each evening in order to maintain their good condition. Registration Details STR2425B2972
