In addition to the river beach, beach lovers will appreciate the proximity to Basin Head Beach (voted number 1 beach in Canada – a quick 30 minute drive northeast) or Panmure Island Beach (25 minutes to the south). Of course, there are literally dozens of beautiful beaches on PEI that are worth visiting, all within a comfortable driving distance. Also a close 25 minute drive is the incredible national park at Greenwich offering walking trails and world class sand dune beaches, and further west the national park at Cavendish, both great day trips during your stay! Again for golf lovers, the Links at Crowbush Cove (ranked top 10 in Canada), Glasgow Hills, Fox Meadow and Eagles Glenn are other local favorites that are well worth a visit.
