This is hotel room-style accommodation with a gallery kitchen that we offer for a good price right on the beach. The suite opens to the courtyard. This suite has a new mini split air conditioner, new memory foam queen mattress, ceiling fan, and recently renovated kitchen and bathroom. This cosy and compact boutique-style bachelor suite, opens from french doors directly onto our courtyard and new plunge pool. Our Concha Suite comfortably accommodates one or two adults maximum in a queen-size mattress on an upholstered modular sofa base. It is the size of a hotel room. The public beach is mere steps away. It is delightful and remarkably quiet for a bustling Mexican town with no pushy vendors, no seaweed, and no undertow. The safe, sandy-bottomed waters of Jaltemba Bay ranges from a temperature of 19 to 28 degrees Celsius depending on the season. As an 'open to nature' beach house, you may get visits from curious coco crabs in July (they are small, shy, harmless, and newly born). Please escort them back to the sand or even place them in the ocean so they have a chance at survival. As well, we enjoy the fascinating geckos that make a charming "chee-chaa!" noise (and are great guests as they eat a lot of the bugs you don't want like any mosquitos). And do enjoy the typical tropical flora and fauna. During certain times of the year, we recommend insect repellent for 'no-see-um' bug bites that can sometimes occur on the public beach. Beach House 'La Esquina Perezosa' has three private, quiet, and self-contained suites with their own entrances: Horizonte Suite (two bedrooms on the top flor), Playa Suite (two bedroom underneath the Horizonte Suite) and the smaller Concha Suite (a hotel-room style bachelor suite- this listing). This suite has two entrances. One from a covered walkway that leads in from Calle Mazatlan and the secured main black door and the other, new french doors, that open up to the shared courtyard, plunge pool, outdoor shower and laundry facilities. The public beach access is mere feet away for amazing ocean swimming. You are also a short drive, cab ride or bus away from many other resort beach towns (e.g. Bucerias, Chacala, Guayabitos, Sayulita, San Pancho, etc.) where you can simply stretch out in the sun or ride the lovely surf waves. So many sweet choices in this precious region of Mexico. Safe parking is available right outside the main door at the end of our quiet neighbourhood street. *Do not leave valuable items in your vehicle when parked for the night. La Peñita de Jaltemba (The Rock of Jaltemba) is an authentic, charming and safe walkable Mexican town that welcomes visitors with a glowing smile. Our colonia/neighbourhood, Pescadores (Fishermen), has small cafes, restaurants and bodegas and we are only six blocks from the center of La Peñita (known as La Avenida) where you will find various shops, specialty markets, and banks. From zumba fitness and a boxing gym to billiards, restaurants, hair and nail salons, live music venues and bars, and don't forget yummy artisan made breakfast, lunches, dinners and ice cream treats -- just about anything and everything you will need for a fabulous time. Several beach areas, including the nearby resort area of Guayabitos, means you don't need to leave the area to experience a perfect beach vacation. Or, use our quiet and private retreat as a home base to explore all that stunning Riviera Nayarit has to offer; colonial buildings in nearby towns, surfing in Chacala and Sayulita, jet-skiing, sport fishing, bird watching, mountain drives, bikes and hikes, natural cold and hot springs, island discoveries, markets, ancient ruins, volcanos, and miles and miles of beach included secluded ones too. The beauty of La Peñita, and what attracted us to invest in this area, is that it's a thirty minute drive north, south and inland to so many different choices. You can so easily explore other towns in the region. The main street, or “La Avenida” as it is known, runs east – west from the highway to the beach. A number of tourist shops, clothing stores, shoe stores, restaurants and other merchants have set up shops down the street. A large, shady plaza sits two blocks south of the beach end of La Avenida. Every Thursday, this area is home to a 4-block long tianguis or street market. Here you’ll find everything ranging from fresh fruit, seafood, vegetables to housewares, hardware, clothing, arts and crafts. This market is best in the high season's winter months. La Peñita is located about 64 kilometers north of Puerto Vallarta and their major airport. The surrounding area is primarily known for fruit production; mostly banana, pineapple and mango, and a thriving fishing industry as well as a multitude of professional services at your disposal. La Peñita is the main service community for a wide region ranging from San Pancho (San Francisco) 20 minutes or so to the south, and to the small villages in the northern part of Jaltemba Bay. You can walk everywhere in La Peñita and Guayabitos is only a 20 minute walk or so by way of the beach and local streets leading to a swinging pedestrian bridge. You can also easily, and inexpensively, take a bus, car, or taxi anywhere you wish to wander to on the Riveria Nayarit. The first and most important note is to relax, take it slow, and fully immerse yourself in this glorious ocean beach setting and all that the house and town have to offer. Please no smoking indoors or in the shared courtyard pool area. Smoking on the public beach, your rooftop deck or balcony is ok provided you are considerate to other guests. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am. The neighbours are considerate as well. Parking is available just outside the property. If that is full, just use a side street away from the oceanfront. Children and the elderly with cognitive or physical ability issues must be supervised on decks, patios, the courtyard pool or on the beach at all times. The signing of a liability waiver is required. We only accept payment through Airbnb and will not make other arrangements. Also, we do not offer discounts on the listed price. Our prices are fair market value and do change as needed over the seasons. We stock the house with top quality 300 plus thread count bed sheets and bath/beach towels for your comfort. Guests are asked to not eat in the beds or use bath towels on the beach. Please be aware that food, drink, makeup, etc. might stain sheets and towels. There will be an additional charge made to renters who damage high end linens and towels. Also, any infants/children that are not toilet trained should sleep on a protective bed covering.
