This jewel is conveniently located in MT. HOOD VILLAGE which borders BLM, WILDWOOD RECREATION Site. The SALMON RIVER runs through the village. Enjoy hiking, biking, year around skiing/snowboarding, fishing, golf, birdwatching, in our MT. HOOD wonderland. A perfect place to play. Within 3mils there are many excellent and enjoyable restaurants. The space Our CHARMING CABIN is finished with natural wood both inside and outside. This TINY CABIN is big on EFFICIENCY and COZINESS. Vaulted ceilings give it a spaciousness. We are sure you will find this to be the best RUSTIC RETREAT ever. You can simply RELAX and ENJOY being in our cabin. We love our little cabin and are proud to share it with you. It is a sweet home base from which to access all the nature of the Mt. Hood area. INSIDE OUR CABIN: Cooling: AIR CONDITIONING in the cabin for hot summer. Heating: In the winter the cabin is usually kept warm enough with the free-standing OIL HEATER that is in the living room. Keeping it set at 5 or 6 does the trick. If you need extra or more rapid heat use the CENTRAL HEATING system. The thermostat is just above the pegs on the wall opposite the front door. Kitchen: We remodeled kitchen in May 2016. Gadgets include: 2 INDUCTION COOKTOP, small MICROWAVE OVEN, electric HOT WATER KETTLE, POTS and PANS, small TOASTER OVEN, wooden box under the bed has RICE COOKER, stove top PRESSURE COOKER, Cuisinart PANINI GRILL, AIR POPPER, . To make COFFEE there is a FRENCH PRESS, stove top ESPRESSO MAKER, and a DRIP FILTER. The under the counter REFRIGERATOR is equipped with an ice box that will make a tray of ice but is pretty wimpy when it comes to ice cream. Please do not adjust the setting as it will freeze all the fresh produce. Bedroom: There is A FULL SIZE BED and 3 TWIN BUNKS in the bedroom. There are sheets, pillows and comforters on each bed. The most delightful surprise to us has been how EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE these MATTRESSES are. We were skeptical of them at first and were pleasantly amazed that they are every bit as comfortable (even more so!) than our new cushy mattress. The FUTON in the living room is a queen size mattress with its bedding stored on the shelf above the bathroom door and the comforter is in the wooden box under the full size bed. Bathroom: Our bathroom is such a gem. There is a Japanese style BIDET TOILET SEAT that will spoil you. It has a warm water spray and air dryer. Everyone is so soothed with this. Then the SHOWER has a tankless, on demand water heater that provides wonderful warm water and delivers continually as long as you need it. A great thing to anticipate when returning from those exhilarating outdoor activities. Deck: The living area is expanded with the ample deck that my husband built a couple years ago. There is a PICNIC TABLE to use on those sunny days when you want to relax outside and eat while sipping a nice glass of wine. The views around are so lush. Guest access As our guest, Mt. Hood Village offers indoor POOL, SAUNA, HOT TUB (Mo-Th/6:30am-8pm, Fr/6:30am-9pm, Sa/8am-9pm, Su/8am-8pm), playground, river walks, senior center, cafe/bakery (Call for hrs). Just 50 feet up our little street is a LAUNDROMAT and EXTRA SHOWER room (Open 24/7). All in all Mt. Hood Village is EXTREMELY FAMILY and KID FRIENDLY. Other things to note Mt. Hood Village is gated. We will provide the code and remaining details before you arrive.
