Lake Como: Authentic village with mountain views

This comfortable and well-equipped home is located in an authentic village 2 km above Bellagio and offers mountain views and real village life. Ideal for guests who appreciate comfort and loving details. A small balcony overlooks the village. Directly under the house is a popular café with a pastry shop. The lake is 5 minutes by car / 25 minutes walking distance. As in many villages, it can be livelier in the evening. Free parking is available nearby. The space Immerse yourself in authentic Italy Located just 2 km above Bellagio, Casa Bellagina was my home for seven years after moving here from the United Kingdom. It is a real home and not an anonymous vacation home – ideal for guests who appreciate an authentic, personal atmosphere. Daily necessities are in the immediate vicinity, in the middle of village life. 🚗 A car is recommended. Public transport is limited and the way up from the lake is steep – especially after a long day of exploring. ⸻ Comfort in all seasons No matter what time of year: comfort is the focus. In autumn and winter, central heating, a fireplace and cozy blankets provide comfort. In summer, ceiling fans in both bedrooms as well as mobile fans in the other rooms offer pleasant cooling. Out of consideration for the environment, there is no air conditioning. ⸻ A window into Italian everyday life Casa Bellagina is bright, warm and fully equipped to make you feel at home. The small balcony overlooks the village square and towards the Grigne mountains – a beautiful place for a coffee in the morning and to watch the daily village life. ⸻ Cook at home or discover the local cuisine You have the choice: • A well-equipped kitchen for your own meals • A tavern, snack bar and café within walking distance • A nearby restaurant appreciated by locals • Numerous restaurants in the center of Bellagio After an eventful day, you can enjoy a glass of wine, read a book from the house library or have a DVD evening. ⸻ Discoveries around Bellagio Less well-known places can also be easily explored by car: • Mountain restaurants with great views • Hiking trails through forests and hills • E-bike and scooter rental • Kayak and canoe tours on the lake Garden lovers will find impressive historic villas in the area, including Villa del Balbianello, known from Star Wars and Casino Royale. Other things to note What you should know 🏡 The Location Casa Bellagina is located in Visgnola, a charming little village 2 km above Bellagio. Here you can enjoy the best of both worlds: the authentic Italian village atmosphere and the beauty of Bellagio's lake promenade. 🚗 Out and about A car is recommended, but not required. The lake can be reached in 5 minutes by car or 25 minutes on foot (the way back uphill - your aperitif will be well deserved!). Free parking is located just 30 meters from the apartment. 💡 Concerned that it's not right in Bellagio? Many of my guests are initially reluctant to stay outside the center — but they always fall in love with village life! Here you are part of a real community, Visgnola, and not just a tourist passing through. On some weekends it can be lively, but the bedrooms are on the opposite side of the apartment. 🚆 Arriving by public transport?
