Description

*4x4 or AWD only* Come enjoy seclusion and mountain views from this A-frame camping oasis hidden in the woods on our 125 acre private gated mountain top escape backing up to Pisgah National Forest. 4 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway for all the best hikes, and a 25 minute drive in to Asheville. Bring your own camping gear! We provide a bed platform, camping pads, charcoal grill, fire pit, outhouse, table, and a camping shelter to sleep in!. The space This is best for our adventurers who have their own camping gear and are seeking a dog friendly get away to the mountains with the privacy of back country camping and the amenities of a campground. We have a well on property to get water from. Picnic style charcoal grill and fire pit can be used for cooking. There is a dedicated out house that is only for this camp site and is serviced on Mondays. There is no electricity or shower space for this cabin. *Please note there is no longer a clear roof- it is a metal roof now due to leaks* IMPORTANT: You will need to bring your own sleeping bags/sleeping pads for this cabin. We provide 2 water proof NRS sleep pads on the bed platform. You will also need to bring your own cookware and camp stoves. There is no electricity, heat or air conditioning in this space. Cell service is spotty right at the cabin but closer to where the car is parked you may be able to get better service Guest access There will be room for 2-3 cars to park on the road. You are welcome to hike around the property on the roads but we request you don’t walk around the other cabins on the property to respect their privacy. Other things to note Due to Hurricane Helen we are 4 wheel drive or AWD only. Downtown Asheville now has water which means many of the establishments will start to reopen. There was minimal damage done to downtown Asheville and Candler. The worst damage is in Biltmore Village and the River Arts district…and surrounding towns outside of Asheville. A broom will be available for sweeping out the cabin at the end of your stay. Pack out what you pack in...just like back country camping...we don't have trash service on the premise. There can be bears and other animals in the woods- so please don't leave trash or food out around the campsite. There is a black bear box on the back of the cabin to store food. If you are interested in eloping or having a micro wedding of less then 10 people at the A-frame, please contact me before booking. If you'd like to have a group camping trip for more then 4 people please talk to me in advance.
