This is a private rental accommodation in a traditional Japanese house with a thatched roof, and is ideal for sightseeing in Matsumoto City, with excellent access to major tourist spots such as Matsumoto Castle, Matsumoto Art Museum, Nakamachi Street, and Aza-te Street. It is located within a 10-minute walk from Matsumoto Station, and if you come by taxi, it is about 800 yen away. There is a shopping street and many restaurants within a few minutes walk. There is also a large shopping center, AEON MALL, about a 5-minute walk away, which is very convenient for buying souvenirs, groceries, and eating. The space Limited to one group per day, with a maximum of 10 guests. Engiya is a sukiya-style accommodation built about 40 years ago by skilled craftsmen from Kyoto using plenty of rare wood. After renovation in 2014, it was reborn as a private rental accommodation. In this delicate and refined space, you can feel the good old days of Japan. The Japanese garden that can be seen from inside the house and the seasonal flowers and plants will make your stay even more colorful. If we find that the number of guests exceeds the number of people booked, a penalty fee will be applied. Please be sure to consult with us in advance regarding the use of facilities and entry by anyone other than those who have made a reservation. There are 4 Japanese-style bedrooms, and all bedding is provided in the form of futons. Bedding and amenities will be provided depending on the number of guests. All rooms are fully air conditioned, including the living room. Smoking is prohibited throughout the building, including electronic cigarettes, and there is a smoking space outside.
