Description
This grand historic Dunstan House building in the gold mining days was known as “Dunstan Hotel”, or simply, “The Dunstan”. This building dates from 1898, but the cellar beneath was built for the original wooden hotel in 1863, and before that, a canvas tent served as the hotel of choice from when miners first came into the area seeking gold. The building has been maintained in its original form, with the sympathetic addition of modern conveniences. The space George room is a large room with double and single beds. Set at the rear of the house it has views out over the Clutha river. This room has a shared bathroom with shower. A generous European style continental breakfast for our guests is included in the room rate. Guest access Guests have access to their room, a shared bathroom, communal tea and coffee facilities, and mini fridge. This is all on the second floor of the property. Guests are also free to use the Guest lounge if this is not booked by a private party. There is free parking on site
