Cottage in Alfriston

Stunning cottage built circa 14th Century situated in the idyllic village of Alfriston. This modernised period property offers all the advantages of contemporary living whilst maintaining a rustic aesthetic. Fantastic Village Store is located next door with an excellent fresh deli providing freshly baked produce and everything else you may require for your stay. Four pubs and other restaurants directly on your doorstep. Directly on the South Downs way, perfect location for biking and hiking. The space Rose cottage downstairs space comprises a cosy lounge and a fully fitted kitchen with induction hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. The stairs to access the upstairs of the cottage are located just behind the front door. Upstairs comprises a cupboard for clothes hanging and storage, bathroom with shower and toilet and a double bedroom with king size bed. A lovely, very charming and comfortable cottage away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Guest access Rose Cottage is accessed via Rope Walk passageway located at the side of the Village shop, right next to the Village square. It should be possible to park briefly in the square to pick up the keys, access the property and drop off luggage. There is a basket hanging inside the front door which contains a parking permit for the Dene short stay car park, located at the northern entrance to the village and is only an 80 yard walk from the cottage. The permit is valid for any public parking space for the duration of your stay. Please ensure you replace the parking permit in the basket after your stay. Other things to note Directly in front of the property is a small shed providing secure storage for bicycles. The shed is not locked but there is an anchor point cemented into the floor in the middle of the shed where you can thread a steel locking cable in order to secure your bikes. You will need to bring your own lock and cable. Additionally we provide complimentary Soulsome organic chocolates to make a sweet start to your stay :-)
