I have so many fond memories growing up there as a young girl with my Granded, Geo, and my Nana, Hazel. Chalet Frodo is a new addition to the original property and the entire HOH property, has undergone a complete renovation. The House of Hazel consists of 4 very different accommodation options on an oversized residential section. In this listing both chalets can be booked together, Chalet Frodo & Chalet Gandalf are identical chalets on the rear of the property. They are private, stand alone each has their own outdoor patio. Both chalets are filled with everything you will need during your stay and you have 2 off street parks right next door to each chalet door, all provided free of charge. Consider it your boutique inspired home away from home, with all essentials and a few extra goodies at your fingertips! Each chalet comfortably sleeps 2 people with the added option of a sofa bed for your child or guest. The space has been optimally designed for 2 people, with 3 still a comfortable stay. Relax and watch a movie from the full range of SKY TV channels while playing a game of our limited edition Hobbit Monopoly or Shire Strategy set. Enjoy warm sun drenched days or beautiful New Zealand evenings on your own private patio while listening to the birds nest for the night. Whatever the reason for your visit The House of Hazel wants you to feel welcomed, relaxed and comfortable with everything you need while enjoying everything the region has to offer. Other things to note The House of Hazel is very special to me. During the birth of the project I decided to pay homage to my Nana, a forward thinking and wise woman, naming the property, The House of Hazel, after her. She was warm, welcoming and her baking tins were always full to the brim for the family! Nana loved birds and cultivated a gathering place for local birds by feeding them a loaf a day! We have kept her bird houses and you wont miss the sounds of the birds nesting in the evening or singing away to each other during the day. We have done our best to anticipate your needs and have your accommodation well appointed for your stay. You will find everything from a hair dryer, iron etc right through to every cable tv channel, washing facilities, cookie time biscuits for your tea and chocolate on your pillow! We use only green, organic and eco friendly cleaning materials and supplies to insure that we are doing our bit for the environment. Also we have commercial laundry facilities available 24/7 for guests.
