Free parking areas (public) a short walk away. 1 x double bedroom, 1 x twin. Log burner for winter nights (please bring your own wood). Large fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Beautiful views of the surrounding fells Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. The open top bus stops just down the road by the pub. The space Through the private entrance you find the spacious kitchen/dining and open plan lounge area. A door opens out into a landing area with 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom. Down the light and airy 17th century staircase you will find the separate WC. You can purchase logs for the log burner just across the road at the large shop/off licence open until late. Outside behind the cottage, you will find the patio and grassed garden area which opens out onto the green in front of the other cottages in the hamlet. The open top bus stops right outside for trips to Ambleside, Grasmere and Bowness. Only £2 per journey! High chair and travel cot available if needed. Guest access The whole upper floor with private entrance, staircase and separate WC. Private garden and patio area to rear belonging to Quirky Cottage. Other things to note The Cottage is Grade II listed and split into 2 apartments - Quirky Cottage and The Old Post Office. They are joined together by a listed 17th century door at the bottom of the staircase - this is bolted from both sides and blocked off. There may be a little noise from the downstairs apartment. Pub and small shop a stones throw away. Shop serves hot breakfast baps, Costa Coffee and slush for the children. Free communal Parking is available less than a minutes walk from the cottage. There are 2 large parking bays on opposite sides of the road by the Sun Inn pub. It takes 30 sec to walk from the parking spaces to the cottage.
