La Tuilerie Grange at 'La Tuilerie de la Roussie' is a characterful cottage with two en-suite bedrooms. Situated on the banks of the River Vézere in the pre-historic area of 'Vallée de L'Homme' between the fascinating town of Les Eyzies and market town of Le Bugue. To explore the area you have FREE use of bikes and a kayak; there is direct access to the river and a 12km cycle path. Or you can simply relax around the heated swimming pool on luxury sun loungers The space The accommodation offers two double bedrooms both with en-suite shower rooms, there is an open plan living area & fully equipped kitchen. The television has both French and English TV Freeview channels plus, with fibre high speed broadband, Netflix is now available. La Tuilerie Grange has its own patio area with table & chairs overlooking the courtyard and there is a separate private barbecue, decking and private garden area. The fabulous 12m x 5m heated swimming pool is situated next to La Tuilerie de la Roussie manor house. The pool area has luxurious sun loungers with sun shade umbrellas (pool towels provided). If you are relaxing by the pool then most of the time you will have this space to yourselves. Please note: Guests from 'Le Petit Chateau', our other 2 person adult only gite, also have access to the pool and pool area. Guest access La Tuilerie de la Roussie is just 5 minutes away from local restaurants, shops, supermarkets and other amenities. With the local single track train line running adjacent to our property Le Bugue train station is conveniently situated a short 10 minute walk away where you can take the train to local historic towns or Perigueux the capital of the Dordogne. Around and about you can soak up the beauty of the Dordogne with its amazing chateaux and visit the many pre-historic caves and cultural experiences through 'The valley of man'. Our location is a perfect base to either see the sites or just relax and be. Other things to note La Tuilerie Grange is exclusively for adults 18+ only: Because we have so many water features at La Tuilerie de la Roussie and open to the river, without safety fences or barriers, this property is not suitable for children. Also to note, the property and stairs to the bedrooms may not be suitable for the elderly or those with reduced mobility. Reservations are accepted for 7 nights with Saturday for check-in and check-out. We do not charge any additional fee for 'cleaning', our cleaning is included for your stay. WiFi high speed fibre broadband connection is free of charge. There is a car port for shaded parking. Bike and kayak loan is subject to availability and weather/river water level. The local single track, mostly single carriage train runs adjacent to our garden which means that for around 10 seconds approximately 12 times during the day you will hear a train. The accommodation is officially classified as 4 Stars by the Comité Départemental du Tourisme de la Dordogne. We are open for guests during the months of June, July and August only.
