Located in a Historic House built in 1804. Supervised by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture. Only some modern amenities installed such as Power Water Air Conditioning Water heater etc. Utilities are controlled by Government Agencies. These sevices may be suspended on temporal basis due to system ageing issues. These outages are usually for a few hours and we are not responsible nor our listing is responsible for these issues. This is a 500 years plus city and these disruptions do ocurr. The space Roomy,lots of windows and ventilation yet private and charming. Two(2) bedrooms 1B Apt. Sleeps 5 Ample kitchen leading to a sunny xtra large patio to enjoy a morning coffee or relax in late afternoon after a day spent in the oldest city of the New World.( Circa 1492) Newly renovated, Satellite TV and Wi-Fi( Provided by third party service,Free).Everything new except the historic building( 1804) built by the Spanish Government for a high ranking Army Officer,during the Spanish quest for conquering of the New World and a stop point for Galleons carrying gold to Spain. Easily accessible from street level and to all historic sites of this important city. Walking distance from the New World´s first university.(Now Hotel El Convento), Old Army Headquarters such as Ballajá, El Morro Castle,where the Spanish army held off would be invaders,such as Sir Francis Drake and others. There are lots of museums nearby. History Indeed was staged here. Our apartments at Calle de la Cruz are a short walking distance from just about anywhere in this old city and from any convenience you would want such as Supermarket,Drug Stores and well known restaurants .( including lesser known) Many restaurants offer excellent meals at very reasonable prices.. The Farmers Market is a couple of blocks away and opens every Saturday until 1PM This address is in one of the best Streets of San Juan and near all public transportation(Buses,Trains,Taxi) 15/30 minutes from airport and also close to many cultural Museums. Just imagine yourself walking along the edge of the Atlantic Ocean on old paths with tradewinds caressing your face,then a short walk to centuries old forts,either San Cristobal, or San Felipe de El Morro. Walk along an old path behind the fort and along the far end of the trail to the San Juan Door access, where traders and troops used to bring goods and arms to the island . Then walk along behind the Governor´s mansion (Paseo de La Princesa) and then on to the waterfront and some of the best restaurants in Puerto Rico. In this area you may purchase souveniers and other items for your loved ones back home or for personal use. In addition, this walking tour will serve a good exercise ,no need for a gym visit. Should you wish, day long beach tours can be arranged at reasonable prices. Please note that this 2 bedroom apt. has 3 beds( 1queen 2 twins) and one queen size futon. Arrangements can be made to convert the 2 twins into a king size bed. Baby chair and ply pen available upon request. Our rates are changed per Season. High Season is form November 15th to May 15th Summer or Low Season is from May 16th to November 14th..Except during the first weeks of the month of January´s festivities which rates are much higher due to market demands.. Please call or write stating your requirements for your expected vacation. We will be most happy to help you. There is a $95.00 cleaning fee on all apartments.Except for monthly rentals which may vary. Monthly rentals not accepted during High Season. Due to high volume. However, please ask as sometimes we do make exceptions depending on your required dates. Please let us know your requirements and we will make every effort to please you. We recommend an all day Catamaran adventure leaving from Fajardo. They pick you up right in San Juan. Zip Lining is another exciting activity. Other things to note Satellite TV and WiFi Internet is provided Free . This is a service provided by a third party contractor. Issues of a technical nature may be temporary . These services depend on usage which means that WiFi speed may be slowed depending on how many users are on line.
