Le Roi des Oiseaux - French Countryside Cottage

Nestled in the heart of the Vallée de la Course, this charming lime-washed mud house reveals all the character and authenticity of the local architecture. Inside, the massive exposed beams give the spaces a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our house is located in Montcavrel, a picturesque village close to the historic town of Montreuil-sur-Mer: a real beautiful escape in the heart of the greenery of the Opal Coast. The space The idea of continuing the history of this charming house came naturally to us. To breathe new life into these walls steeped in history, we undertook the renovation of this former farmhouse, paying special attention to the sensitivity of the place and respecting its authenticity. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the choice of materials to the decoration. Inside / On the ground floor, the fully equipped kitchen has a dining area where everyone can prepare breakfast and meals independently. It includes a gas stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, a filter coffee maker, a Le Creuset kettle, a Nespresso coffee machine, a toaster, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The living room invites you to relax and spend time together with a turntable, a Bluetooth speaker, and a selection of board games and books. Please note that the house does not have a TV, but an iPad is available for your use. A JOTUL wood-burning stove is located in the living room to brighten up winter evenings. We will set everything up for a first fire. If you wish to continue using it, we offer a €15 pack including kindling, firelighters and a few logs. The shower room is equipped with a toilet, a stone washbasin, a hairdryer, a heated towel rail as well as shampoo, shower gel and bathroom linen. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, both equipped with Comfort Prestige mattresses and linen bedding: A first bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 × 200 cm) A second bedroom with a double bed (140 × 190 cm) accessible from the first Outside / The garden is an invitation to rest and enjoy the good life. Settle down on the deck chairs or under the patio, and when the weather allows, extend your evenings around a fire lit by a string of lights for a friendly atmosphere. Please note: provide wood for the use of the brazier. A barbecue is also available to guests (charcoal is required). To enjoy the sea air, the beaches of the beautiful Opal Coast are just 25 km from Montcavrel. These stretches of fine sand lend themselves to all kinds of activities: swimming, sand yachting, fishing, paddleboarding... a perfect playground between relaxation and adventures. Between land and sea, this region has everything to enhance your stay and we will be delighted to accompany you in the discovery of its treasures. Other things to note We can prepare breakfast for you, extra charge at €15 per person. We'll leave the basket under the patio between 8:00 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. There is a continental breakfast, consisting mainly of local and homemade products. At the time of your departure, we thank you for leaving the cottage in the same clean condition in which you found it. However, you have the option to benefit from an end-of-stay cleaning service for an additional amount of €50. NOTE: To ensure respect for our accommodation and avoid any inconvenience, a deposit of €500 will be requested when booking (bank imprint upon arrival).
