The King of the Birds - Country cottage

Nestled in the heart of the Vallée de la Course, this charming lime-washed mud house reveals all the character and authenticity of the local architecture. Inside, the massive exposed beams give the spaces a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our house is located in Montcavrel, a picturesque village close to the historic town of Montreuil-sur-Mer: a real beautiful escape in the heart of the greenery of the Opal Coast. The space The idea of continuing the story of this charming house was obvious to us. To breathe new life into these walls full of memories, we have undertaken the renovation of this old farmhouse with special attention to the sensitivity of the place and respect for its authenticity. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the choice of materials to the decoration. Inside / On the ground floor, the fully equipped kitchen has a pleasant dining area allowing everyone to prepare breakfasts and meals independently. It includes a gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, filter coffee maker, Nespresso machine, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine. The living room invites you to relax and share with a vinyl turntable, a Bluetooth speaker, a selection of board games and books. Please note: the house does not have a TV but an iPad is available. NEW FOR WINTER 2026: Jøtul wood-burning stove for even warmer evenings! The shower room is equipped with a toilet, stone sink, hairdryer, towel dryer as well as shampoo, shower gel and towels. Upstairs, two comfortable bedrooms welcome you, both with prestige comfort mattresses and linen bedding: A first bedroom with a queen-size bed (160 × 200 cm) A second bedroom with a double bed (140 × 190 cm) accessible from the first Outside / The garden is an invitation to rest and enjoy the sweetness of life. Sit on the deckchairs or under the patio and when the weather allows, extend your evenings around a fire lit with a guinguette garland for a friendly atmosphere. Warning: provide wood for the use of the Brazier. A barbecue is also available to guests (charcoal to be provided). To enjoy the sea air, the beaches of the beautiful Opal Coast are just 25 km from Montcavrel. These stretches of fine sand lend themselves to all kinds of activities: swimming, sand yachting, fishing, paddleboarding... a perfect playground between relaxation and adventures. Between land and sea, this region has everything to enhance your stay and we will be delighted to accompany you in the discovery of its treasures. Other things to note We can prepare breakfast for you, for an additional €15 per person. We drop off the basket under the patio between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. This is a continental breakfast, consisting mainly of local and homemade products. At the time of your departure, we thank you for leaving the cottage in the same clean condition in which you found it. However, you have the option to benefit from an end-of-stay cleaning service for an additional amount of €50. PLEASE NOTE: To ensure respect for our accommodation and avoid any inconvenience, a security deposit of €500 will be requested when you book (bank imprint upon arrival).
