The space At the Loerie was built in 1883, one of the first buildings of purpose to be built in a newly developing town. Knysna has since grown and developed and this unique guesthouse has too... Many of the original features of the house tell the story of the many lives this house has lived. It is a charming and characterful home, definitally quirky! Each room is individual, and each bathroom configuration is unique. We offer a lounge area with TV. Our tea and coffee station is situated in this communal area. Great WiFi service and netflix/ smart TV in our lounge. At The Loerie is fitted with an inverter and battery power system so you will stay online, in touch and well lit during load shedding. There is a cosy kitchen where our guests can prepare a meal - although, Knysna is on the “foodie map” and when eating out, you are spoilt for choice. Two large veranda's offer extra seating and outdoor sofas. We have secure parking on the premises with electric fence for peace of mind. Knysna's history is in the wood industry and we share our yard with an emporium of second hand and restored furniture, it's a treasure trove on our door step. This also adds a nice element of activity to the week days when the store is open. Guest access This 7 bedroomed Guest House is available to one group or family exclusively for the Festive Season. Our Guests will have access to all areas of the house, our common areas are there to be enjoyed. Should you decide to sit on the veranda and watch the daytime hum of a town going about it's daily activities, you will find a comfortable space to do so. Our cosy kitchen is available should you want to start your day around the house before heading out or if you like the idea of a quiet night in after your daytime adventures, you are welcome to prepare a meal at home. We offer a spacious lounge with smart TV and netflix, we hope that you will be comfortable and happy during your stay.
