The space ACTIVITIES For boat lovers there is access to a concrete slipway and mooring jetty for 4 boats (boat not included and guests need to bring their own). IMPORTANT The height for a boat and trailer height to get to the slipway must NOT exceed 2.9meters above ground An abundance of activities can be enjoyed including fly fishing, birdwatching, walking/jogging/cycling in secure area, mountain biking, boating, canoeing and water skiing. Nearby, there are many restaurants to enjoy, a spa, beautiful golf courses, a winery, brewery, white river rafting, shopping and river cruises.* *Should guests want to go on a river cruise and don’t have a boat, they can book at Stonehaven on Vaal. They have various size cruisers from 12 people to 150 passengers (booking in advance is essential). Guests can phone Stonehaven for more information and it is literally a 15 minute drive from the Riverside Rhapsody. MAIN HOME SPECIFICATIONS Fully self-catering. Sleeps a maximum of 10 guests (including kids) in 4 bedrooms all ensuite (3 double beds and 2 bunk beds). Guest full bathroom. Open plan living area (kitchen, dining room/pool table, lounge, bar), television and DStv. Enclosed patio area (sitting area, dining table, charcoal & weber braai), all glass doors can be opened. Two microwaves, stove, bar fridge, kitchen fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, kettle and small coffee plunger, ice machine and water filter. ENTERTAINMENT Pool table / Dart Board / Swimming Pool / DSTV. PET-FRIENDLY The home is pet-friendly for small to medium house-trained dogs. They are not allowed on the furniture or the beds. Guests must inform us if they plan to bring their dogs at least 1 day prior to check-in. Guest access The property is accessible through a security point plus additional security gate to the peninsula. Other things to note HOUSE RULES The garage is for private use only and not available for guests. Do not park on the lawns. Charges will apply. Guests may launch their own boat at their own risk. The park home on the property is for private use only and not available for guests (unless prior agreed in writing, additional costs apply). No smoking inside the property (this includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes, hubbly bubbly, and the like). Maximum occupancy of 6 adults and 4 children. Noise is to be kept to a minimum & with no loud music after 10pm. The accommodation is for short-term residential rentals. It is not for parties, receptions, meetings, functions, commercial use, or guests above the registered number. No pets allowed on any of the furniture or beds. Charges will apply. All damages are for the guests account. In case of a late check-in after 7pm on Saturdays to Thursdays and 10 pm on Fridays, a standard late check-in fee of R750 will apply. CLEANING Daily cleaning is included Monday to Saturday (excluding Sundays and Public Holidays). DAMAGE PROTECTION This property is protected by Just Be Lekker (JBL), the travel reputation platform. Guests are required to pay a R800 non-refundable damage waiver fee (R10,000 worth of accidental damage cover) OR have a R5,000 refundable security deposit hold placed on their card to gain access to the property. The guest will be sent a link by JBL to verify their booking. Please note that should a guest choose the refundable security deposit, a R47 service fee will be charged by JBL. This fee covers the cost of verifying the booking and ensuring the property's protection. Just Be Lekker aims to provide a secure and reliable booking experience for all guests. While the security deposit / damage waiver fee will be processed 1 day before check-in, we advise you to complete the JBL verification process as soon as possible to avoid any complications with your booking. LOADSHEDDING: To assist during loadshedding this property has 2 emergency lights. Please note there is no generator or inverter. We suggest checking the loadshedding schedule prior to your trip so you can plan around it. You're welcome to bring your own mobile backup power to assist you further. You'll be notified prior to check-in of the loadshedding schedule should there be any that occur during your stay so that you can plan around it accordingly.
