The Cottage has a private bedroom, living room with its own heater and wood burning stove, full kitchen, and full bathroom. You are steps from Bear Creek, and your private deck is a great place to take in all the Bear Creek Lodge has to offer. Located 1/4 mile from downtown Hope, your Cottage is walking distance to town but outside the busy-ness and noise. The Cottage is one of eight of our cabins working the Bear Creek Lodge family. It has an oversized porch which is the perfect way to take in your Alaskan surroundings. Bear Creek runs through the lodge property which fills the Bear Creek Pond attracting all sorts of wildlife. Take the meandering path across the bridge and discover the entire property at Bear Creek Lodge. Stop into the lodge’s restaurant right next door, Dirty Skillet, where you will experience an authentic mining camp meal with hearty, heaping and home-style cooking. You will have full access to the Bear Creek Pond with its peddle boat and canoe. Visit Bear Creek Lodge’s restaurant for a memorable Alaskan visit as you experience an authentic mining camp meal. You may also want to try the little cabin sauna which turns on with the flick of a switch. Walk the entire property, and be sure to bring your camera! The entire property is extremely photogenic. Your cabin at Bear Creek Lodge is self-checkin, and guests are free to explore the entire grounds as they like. We are available for you to check into the property during restaurant hours. If you arrive after hours, please just give us a call to let us know you've arrived. And please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable. Hope, Alaska is a magical town that visitors say is like a warp back in time 100 years to the early mining days. We have beautiful trails throughout Hope, a general store right next door, and great fishing and berry picking well into the summer. We have a private parking lot, but it is limited in size. So we do not allow RV's, motorhomes, or vehicles pulling trailers. The town of Hope is very small, and we don't even have a taxi cab. Uber and Lyft are not here, either. So guests must bring their own vehicle. We are located just 80 miles from Anchorage, which is Alaska's largest city. WiFi is available in the lodge’s restaurant right next door.
