Starnash Farmhouse Accommodation

Starnash is a cosy farmhouse on 3 acres of land; the east side is self-contained for 8 guests. A shepherd’s hut in the garden can be hired separately (when available) for 2 more people, so we can accommodate up to 10 guests in total. If you’re looking to get away and be just off the beaten track then Starnash is the place for you. Here you are surrounded by nature & birdsong and within a few miles of beaches, woodland walks, the South Downs AONB, quirky villages and vibrant towns. The space The farmhouse rooms are all decorated in colours inspired by the natural world around. Bed-linen is cool, white Egyptian cotton. All the rooms have towels, kettles, 'fridges, TVs and wi-fi. You can also rent our shepherd's hut exclusively with the farmhouse if you need to accommodate up to 10 people. Picture yourself relaxing in a hammock with a good book, or basking in the sun in the field watching birds of prey circling high in the sky and listening to crickets in the long grasses, or see the heron sparring with the sea terns in the sky above you as you peg your beach towels on the line. Take a trip to Hastings and buy fresh fish from the beach, then, back at the farmhouse, crack open a bottle of something chilled and cook dinner to eat al-fresco in the orchard on a hot summer's eve with bats darting high overhead as dusk falls and, if you're lucky, a glimpse of the barn owl swooping over long meadow grasses. You might be joined by one of our cats or a friendly dog (but only if you want their company). There's a higgledy piggledy veg patch and you are welcome to help yourselves to whatever is growing there. It's all part and parcel of living a simpler, slower way of life. Guest access The guest area is self-contained on one side of the farmhouse and guests have their own Garden area. There is a sunny courtyard which guests are welcome to use but this is a shared space which the family may enter sometimes to gain access to other parts of the garden. Other things to note The entrance key is available so that guests can check themselves in and gain access the property any time after check-in time (4pm) on the date of arrival. Due to enhanced cleaning we can’t offer early check-in times. We hope you understand.
