The spacious penthouse suite, perched on the top floor, features an open floor plan and views of the waterfront and Mt. Jumbo. The high-top table separates the kitchenette from the living area, with a fireplace and sitting area opposite the King bed with European-style bedding. The bathroom has a towel-warmer and walk-in shower with rain head. This room is a personal favorite of our owner, Jill, who worked with a local female artist to select the 'May you bloom in any season' mural. The most unique aspect of the Silverbow Inn is the sense of community that you'll experience during your stay. With a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, you'll feel like you're part of a family rather than just another guest. Whether you're sipping coffee in the lobby, chatting with other guests in the hot tub, or sharing stories over breakfast, you'll make memories that will last a lifetime. Guests have access to comfortable communal spaces beginning in the lobby area, which has a seating area, lending library or books and games, and, of course, our 24-hour complimentary tea, coffee, and snacks. The kitchen area is also where daily complimentary breakfast is served. Two rooftop decks crown the property both with fire pit seating areas and hot tubs. Enjoy views of the city, Gastineau Channel, and Mount Jumbo without ever having to step foot onto the sidewalk. The lobby area of the Silverbow Inn is open 24 hours a day with keypad entry overnight. All guest rooms are secured by keypad entry as well. Guests will receive codes in their pre-arrival communications. Juneau locals are here to help! The Silverbow Inn is located in the historic Messerschmidt Building in the heart of Downtown Juneau, Alaska. The Capitol building is two blocks away (about a three-minute walk). The waterfront and cruise port are likewise just a few blocks away, giving guests quick access to all that Juneau has to offer. Fantastic local shops and dining are steps from our front door and within a short walk or drive you can reach trailheads for stunning trails for skiing, hiking, and biking. The natural beauty of Alaska is within reach as you can see Mt. Jumbo and the Gastineau Channel from the hotel. Tongas National Park, which features the iconic Mendenhall Glacier and trails through our temperate rainforest location, are a 20-minute drive from the property. Juneau is serviced by the Capital Transit system of busses that run through downtown and to the airport and National Park.
