Cobbler’s Cottage was originally the workshop for the local shoemaker . It’s situated next to the River Tay , Scotland’s longest river , at Grandtully Rapids, a favourite spot for kayakers and canoeists . Across the bridge over the River Tay, is Grandtully , a five minute walk away - there’s a pub with restaurant , a further restaurant with hotel , and a coffee shop with award winning speciality chocolate shop attached . Strathtay is situated a ten minute drive from the A9 , on the way to Aberfeldy. Pitlochry is a 15 minute drive away . There are a host of river activities available on the River Tay , including canoeing and white water rafting . There’s a golf course in Strathtay, a five minute walk away . Cobbler’s Cottage is on the Rob Roy Way , a long distance footpath . There are numerous walks and trails for every ability nearby . Cobbler’s Cottage at Kindrochet, Strathtay, is an ideal location from which to explore all that highland Perthshire has to offer.
