Originally built in the late 1800s as a dairy farm, Glencoe Country Bed & Breakfast has been lovingly restored to preserve its comfortable old-world charm. Hand-feed Highland cattle, stroll through the orchard or rose gardens taking in the spectacular view of Mt Roland or unwind with a beverage under the shade of our hundred-year-old pepper tree. Set in the heart of Cradle Mountain and surrounded by lush rolling hills, our working hobby farm is the perfect base to explore North-West Tasmania. Our tall, 10 foot ceilings provide generous wall space for you to enjoy artworks from talented local artists. Breakfast included Included in the price of your room, start your day with a delightful continental and full cooked seasonal breakfast. With barista-style coffee and T2 teas, breakfast is served either on the heated deck or in the guest dining room. Paddock-to-plate Glencoe embodies the 'paddock to plate' philosophy, offering a unique farm-to-table experience. We take great pride in producing and preparing high-quality food for our guests. If the produce on your table isn’t from our garden, rest assured it’s sourced locally wherever possible. Our farm-fresh free-range eggs and home-baked croissants are guest favourites! With prior arrangement, we can also prepare packed lunches, cheese platters and unforgettable dinners crafted by our talented chef. A BBQ is also available for guest use. Guest access Check-In Time: 3 PM to 8 PM Late Check-In: Please contact us to arrange check-in outside these hours. No Check-In After 10 PM: To ensure a peaceful stay for all guests, we do not allow check-ins after 10 PM. During your stay We will greet you on arrival, provide you with your room and house key, give a brief tour of the house, arrange breakfast times, and answer any questions. We live on the property, but keep to our own living spaces to ensure your stay is as peaceful and enjoyable as possible. Rest assured though that we’re around if you need us, between the hours of 7am to 8pm. We are contactable by phone, in person, or by front doorbell (which is linked to our phones, in case we are tending to the farm). Other things to note • No children aged 12 and under. • Children aged 13 years and over are welcome. • Service & cleaning fees are included in the price. • Unfortunately, Glencoe is NO LONGER pet Friendly. • For the safety and security of our guests we have security cameras in outside areas only. There are no cameras inside the house. • Glencoe Country BNB is a smoke-free house, with smoking permitted outside on the grounds. • You can store and work on/repair your bike undercover. Tools also available. • A minimum of two days’ notice is required if you would like us to prepare home-cooked dinners. • Cutlery, wine glasses, cups, plates, cutting boards and cheese boards are available for guest use. • Local wines, beers, ciders and soft drinks are available to purchase. • Allergies – let us know prior to your arrival. • Gluten-free options available. • Lactose-free, Lite, Soy and Oat milk available. • If you are interested in visiting and hand-feeding our farm animals, let us know on your arrival.
