I have so many fond memories growing up there as a young girl with my Granded, Geo, and my Nana, Hazel. Hazel's Homestead as well as the entire HOH property, has undergone a complete renovation. The House of Hazel consists of 4 very different accommodation options on an oversized residential section. The Homestead is the largest of the 4, a 3 bed home situated at the very front of the property. 3 other accommodation spaces are also available, with each one designed to sit very private & seperate from each other. Hazel's Homestead embodies a feeling of safety, warmth & love. You'll find 3 private, roomy bedrooms with very comfortable beds and bedding. The bathroom has an extra large shower and hot hot water with amazing pressure. Featuring a large kitchen, larger lounge with a 50” TV and every SKY channel and a seperate dining area your family can share stories of their day over dinner. Hazel's Homestead has been built for the sun and is drenched with all day natural light. To come: Total home cinema experience, with powerful sound bar, bean bags, blankets, popcorn & full series of Lord of The Rings for your own movie marathon! Guest access Hazel's Homestead is stand alone with entry through the front door from the roadside.. The entire house is available for you to enjoy as your own space. We also have commercial laundry facilities on site behind the house – details provided in your HOH Manual. Other things to note The House of Hazel is very special to me. During the birth of the project I decided to pay homage to my Nana, a forward thinking and wise woman, naming the property, The House of Hazel, after her. She was warm, welcoming and her baking tins were always full to the brim for the family! Nana loved birds and cultivated a gathering place for local birds by feeding them a loaf a day! We have kept her bird houses and you wont miss the sounds of the birds nesting in the evening or singing away to each other during the day. We have done our best to anticipate your needs and have your accommodation well appointed for your stay. You will find everything from a hair dryer, iron etc right through to every cable tv channel, washing facilities, cookie time biscuits for your tea and chocolate on your pillow! We use only green, organic and eco friendly cleaning materials and supplies to insure that we are doing our bit for the environment. Also we have commercial laundry facilities available 24/7 for guests. Please feel free to enquire for further info :-) The gym available is located at 30 Tainui Street, Matamata approximately 1km away from the House of Hazel. There is a small fee to use the gym. We have a cot available on request for a small fee.
