The chalet offers the perfect starting point for skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and hiking. It is located slightly outside and only 3 minutes by car from the Hochkönig ski area. Over the last few years, a lot of work has been done to keep the tradition of the old building while offering a high level of comfort. The sofa can be folded out into a 200cm x 140cm bed. The smaller living room on the first floor is cosy and has a sofa that folds out into a 200cm x 140cm bed. 2 x kitchen The kitchen on the ground floor is fully equipped including cooker with ceramic hob, oven, fondue set, toaster, coffee maker and dishwasher. The kitchen still has the 300 year old door. The kitchen on the first floor has a dining area and is also fully equipped including cooker with ceramic hob, oven, fondue set, toaster, coffee maker, dishwasher and microwave. Gas central heating. Notes The house is very old and has some low ceilings and door frames. As it is predominantly wooden on the first and first floors, it is a little noisy. The Hochkönig ski area extends around Dienten with 150 kilometres of pistes, ideal for beginners and experts alike. Thanks to considerable investment in the infrastructure over the last few years, modern lifts, snow-making facilities and first-class mountain huts and restaurants are available. Ski passes, equipment hire and ski / snowboard courses are available on site at the new ski centre. Königstour One of the highlights is offered by the Königstour, awarded as the most beautiful ski route in the Alps: six peaks, 35 continuous kilometres of piste and 7,500 metres of difference in altitude. And not only that, the ski pass is valid for the entire Ski Amade region with 760 km of pistes in the area. Fun parks Fancy some freestyle? The Blue Tomato Kings Park is one of 3 fun parks and offers lines for all skill levels along the entire length of the mountain. Freeride There is also plenty on offer for off-piste and touring. Either directly accessible from the lifts, or via ski touring / split boarding routes directly from the chalet onto the Hochkönig - there are numerous variations. Plus there are over 40 km of cross-country ski trails nearby. + Summer activities Hiking, cycling, climbing The Hochkönig is a paradise for hiking, cycling and climbing in summer. Around the chalet there are hundreds of kilometres of hiking trails into the beautiful mountain world. For example, you can start an approx. 1-hour hike to the Pichl-Alm directly from the chalet and enjoy the sunset over the Hochkönig. Mountain bike, racing bike, gravel bike Mountain bikers will discover a multitude of single trails and cycle paths that can be enjoyed directly from the chalet. The mecca for freeride and downhill trails, the Bikepark Leogang, is about a 30-minute drive from the chalet. But also friends of racing bikes and gravel bikes get their money's worth with challenging climbs and descents. Summer skiing The Kitzsteinhorn glacier, 40 minutes away, offers skiing from September to late spring, while the Dachstein glacier, about 1 hour away, offers skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and a super park throughout the summer.
