Our goal at Chowdhary Villa is to provide our guests an experience of peace and relaxation away from the chaotic routine life and also enhance the lacklustre Work From Home life. 🏡 The two main market areas (Gandhi Chowk and Subhash Chowk) are a short walk away on either side of the property where you can find local goods and delicacies. Other places you will find here include the Indo-Tibetan marketplace, some good cafes and restaurants. The space As we are located at a height in the hills, there is a moderate climb to get to the property but it’ll be worth it for a beautiful view and peaceful surroundings. We will also provide assistance in carrying your luggage. This listing is for a private room with a double bed and en-suite facilities. The property is equipped with high speed WiFi, and the private room has a TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hotstar accounts available for our guests. For additional guests (Max. 1 allowed per room), kindly discuss and clarify the additional charges with the Host. Guest access The guests will have access to the shared dining along with our fully equipped kitchen and are welcome to cook their meals there. (Contact the host for the kitchen utilisation charges) We also have a common seating area with a small house-library where the guests enjoy their evening chai/drinks and relax ✨😁 During your stay You can keep in touch with me in person if I’m available or else you can call me anytime you need to. I’ll be happy to help. I can surely help you with the local sightseeing and cab availability. Other things to note Breakfast is included. 🍲 No room service provided. In-house cook available for lunch and dinner (Kindly discuss the menu and prices with the Host). We also offer a special Host Cooking package to our guests. The Host (if present) will personally prepare a special meal for you! (Please note: The Host Cooking menu is pretty much fixed and limited. However it can be slightly altered on request). We can help arrange cabs for you if required (the cabs are not ours, so the prices are not set by us). We can help you get lunch/dinner deliveries from the local cafes and restaurants. The guests are requested to be mindful and treat this place as a home not a hotel. Please try and keep the place clean (common areas, as well as your rooms). Any destruction of property will lead to a penalty charge. We also provide kitchen cleaning services at INR 150 per request. Please refrain from drinking or eating meals inside your rooms. Kindly utilize the dining or common area for those. There is no smoking allowed inside the house. We also provide a room for the driver at INR 800 per day (Includes tea, breakfast and dinner). However, kindly inform us in advance. There are numerous well-known local locations one can visit while staying in Dalhousie: > Spend a day at ‘Mini Switzerland’ of India, Khajjiar with fun activities such as Paragliding, Horse Riding, and Zorbing. > You can also trek to the famous Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary (jungle safari available), or enjoy boating at Chamera lake. > The St. John’s Church (Gandhi Chowk) and The St. Francis Church (Subhash Chowk) are both walking distance from the property. > Trek to the famous Ganji Pahari and enjoy the beautiful view Dalhousie has to offer.
