You are welcome The space The Gothic Spirit Apartment is located in the center of the Old Town. Copernicus' House is 40 m away, the Living Museum of Gingerbread is 150 m away, and the central point of the Old Town, i.e. the Copernicus Monument and the Old Town Hall, is 80 m away. The Toruń Town Hall is one of the largest brick buildings of this type in Europe and the most important monument of the Toruń Old Town. The Nicolaus Copernicus Monument is one of the most important symbols of Toruń. Cast in the studio of the famous Berlin sculptor Fryderyk Tieck, it was set in its present location in 1853. Nicolaus Copernicus' House is a medieval tenement house that belonged to the Copernicus family in the second half of the 15th century. Many historians point to it as the place where the great astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus was born in 1473. The Leaning Tower is a medieval defensive tower, which owes its name to a significant deviation from the vertical. The penance for breaking the vow of purity of one of the Toruń Teutonic Knights was to erect a leaning tower as a symbol of departure from the strict monastic rule, at least according to legend. The Bridge Gate was built in 1432 and led to the ferry crossing to the other side of the Vistula River. Dybowski Castle was erected on the left bank of the Vistula River by Władysław Jagiełło as the seat of Polish starosts and a strategic military point to control traffic on the Vistula River and the Polish-Teutonic border. These are just a few of the monuments you absolutely must see, there are many more. Numerous restaurants - Spanish, Sicilian, Mexican... - as well as numerous pubs and clubs compete with the monuments. It is impossible to get bored in Toruń. We invite you. Other things to note We issue invoices - please provide your details no later than on the day of check-in.
