During your stay My wife Sherry and I live on the upper floor when we are in Grenada. Sherry is a native of Grenada and grew up in nearby Sauteurs. I am Canadian, but I have visited Grenada many times. We will be around most of the time. We are always happy to talk to you and to answer your questions. Other things to note General Information Grenada is an island in the southeastern Caribbean -- the most southerly of the Windward Islands. The State of Grenada consists of three islands -- Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique -- with a total land area of 133 square miles and a population of about 110,000. The island of Grenada is 120 square miles (311 square kilometres) in area. Climate Grenada has a tropical climate. Average temperatures range from 75 degrees F to 85 degrees F (24 degrees C to 30 degrees C). The lowest temperatures occur between November and February. The hottest months are usually August and September. The dry season is from January to May and the rainy season is from June to December. As Grenada is a mountainous volcanic island, there are considerable variations in temperature and rainfall in different parts of the island depending on elevation. The prevailing trade winds, which blow in from the northeast, also cause variations in weather patterns. Because of its elevation and its location on the north coast in the path of the trade winds, Treetops Villa benefits from cooling ocean breezes -- "nature's air conditioning" -- all year round. Thus, the temperature is always comfortable and air conditioning is unnecessary.
