This gem sits right across the street from the most pristine lake that Mount Dora has to offer, Lake Gertrude! We invite you to take delight in our home while you escape the hustle and bustle of your every day life. The space **Flexible check-in and check-out times are available upon request at no additional cost, subject to availability.** The 1200 SF open design offers a very inviting conversation area with overstuffed leather arm chairs, a queen sofa sleeper and large TV. Two en suite bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen size bed, TV's and nice walk in showers in the bathrooms, provide comfort and privacy. The thoughtfully appointed full kitchen with a gorgeous granite topped island offers a nice place to snack. You can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee from our Keurig coffee station that is fully stocked. If you prefer more formal eating, there's a separate dining area. The most striking feature of The Kennedy is the large partially covered secluded patio shared with The Loft (a studio apartment that also serves as a vacation rental). The patio is the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee or gather, relax, and sip your favorite afternoon beverage. Bicycles are available upon request. Additionally, there is washer and dryer for your convenience. Perhaps the best feature of The Kennedy is its location. Just around the corner there is a paved walking / bike path with a wildlife area. The path continues along the shoreline of pristine Lake Gertrude. As you walk (exactly 2 miles round-trip) there are a few beautiful moss laden ancient oaks arching over the path and one is likely to see a variety of ibis, egrets, herons, ducks, and possibly a Limpkin or an eagle. In the mornings and evenings there are always a few marsh bunnies at the edge of the wild life habitat. Feel free to bring your canoe, kayak or paddle board as there is a public access to pristine Lake Gertrude within walking distance from your rental! where you can launch from!
