Cottonwood Valley - your private cabin on the pond

Cottonwood Valley Cabin is one of 8 cabins at the Bear Creek Lodge property. You'll experience a community in rural Alaska that is authentic to the area. Beautiful. Peaceful. Authentic. The space Cottonwood Valley is ideal for group and family accommodations. There is sleeping for up to six guests, with a mini fridge and microwave in the cabin. Cottonwood Valley sits directly on Bear Creek Pond, which is arguably the most beautiful body of water in Hope, which is unquestionably one of the most special and untouched places in Alaska. Cottonwood Valley has housed guests such as the governor of Alaska, Wally Hickel, and entire families and retreat guests. There is a Wash Hut nearby with indoor bathrooms and hot showers. Guest access The entire 8 acres is open to our guests. Our property borders the borough land with hundreds more acres of amazing hiking and exploring, all ending at the mouth of the ocean, so it's impossible to lose your way. Our guests will also have free access to Bear Creek Pond, our private body of water, with peddle boat and canoe access. We provide life jackets for all guests. Be sure to bring your camera! This property is a photographer's dream with beautiful sites and quirky touches all throughout. Other things to note WiFi is available in the lodge’s restaurant right next door. Our internet in rural Alaska is often unreliable. We offer the wifi password to cabin guests only, but we often cannot get a signal town-wide. Great if you want to get off grid! Not so great if you need to stay connected. The is a “dry cabin” with no indoor plumbing. The shared Wash Hut is nearby with indoor toilets and hot showers. There are no laundry facilities. Once you book, we will text you with a confirmation. Within 2 days of arrival, you will receive another text with information on how to expedite your check-in process. The link texted will include information on the latest WiFi password, shower code access, hours of the lodge and restaurant, how to get extra towels, and information on check-in.
