We have a beach to suit every mood! All guests staying at Sunset Watch have complimentary access to all the facilities of Nail Bay Sports Club including the outdoor lighted tennis court, indoor air-conditioned squash court, an air-conditioned gym and indoor ping pong room. Sunset Watch is an easy walking distance of the beautiful swim up bar and pool next to highly acclaimed Sugar Cane Restaurant which has an amazing sunset view. Enjoy three of the best public beaches the British Virgin Islands have to offer, just steps from your Villa. In addition, a private white sandy beach was created for the exclusive private use of the guests of Sunset Watch, Sundowner and 1 Paradise Lane. This Virgin Gorda villa sits perched above the usually secluded Nail Bay Beach. With private access to these pristine sands you'll rarely find or see another soul on this stretch of coastline. Your Villa is equipped with a picnic cooler for your drinks when you spend the day sunning, swimming, and snorkeling. Healthy coral reefs are literally feet from the shore. Pick your snorkeling spot from the deck of Sundowner. Sir Richard Branson, owner of the nearby Necker Island, arranged for the Kodiak Queen that survived Pearl Harbor to be sunk in the waters near Mountain Point between Nail Bay and Long Bay to create a new dive site called “BVI Art Reef.” Enjoy an intimate sunset stroll after dinner, usually without another person in sight. Guests of Sunset Watch, 1 Paradise Lane and Sundowner have access to three kayaks including a clear lucite kayak, to use, on a first come first serve basis at no extra charge. Other things to note Mountain Trunk Beach is a short walk from Sunset Watch. This beach is famous for its ultra fine sand, stunning views of Tortola and the neighboring BVIs to the East, and beginners snorkeling spots. This Virgin Gorda beach is a fine place to spend an afternoon. Virgin Gorda's Long Bay Beach is just a short car ride on an unpaved dirt road after the north end of Nail Bay Resort. Park your car and follow a short footpath to another of the BVI's secluded beaches. Swim, snorkel, or explore. If you follow the beach to its northernmost reaches you'll find a trail that leads off the beach and up to the ruins of sugar mill structures. Make the most difficult decision you have to make on your Virgin Gorda Vacation this one..... which beach today? Ready to start your BVI vacation now? Go ahead and reserve your Villa now! In an interview, Ajit George, who developed Sunset Watch, describes the verdant Caribbean gardens he installed around this villa: "My parents were phenomenal gardeners. They grew this garden in Kuwait, which is a desert country. They got all kinds of awards. I grew up in Kuwait and my mother was just a very inspirational gardener. She grew things that were not meant to grow in the desert. So when I had a chance to do something with an interesting piece of land in Virgin Gorda (BVI) - it's a beachfront piece of land - I planted every plant I could get my hands on and really experiment with plants and grow stuff that people said couldn't be grown. It's become a passion to see things grow and see how they evolve over time. In some cases, they have grown larger than I would have wanted and some places are more crowded. In the early days I couldn't say no to any plant I had seen somewhere else. So I would bring cuttings or seeds or I would bring them in to plant. And it's what I call a relatively uncultured look. It's not like a garden where everything is sculpted. It is meant to look like it was always there. It sort of looks like a jungle garden, but it's not a jungle. It was planted deliberately to be fun and colorful and interesting. I have lot of cacti growing next to very colorful tropical plants. It creates an interesting juxtaposition of having cactus next to what you would consider to be purely tropical flowers. I have cactus that is probably 10 or 12 feet tall. People are always stunned to see a banana plant, a pomegranate plant, a bougainvillea and cactus. It's interesting." Ready to book your vacation? Let's get started!
