Casa do Linho is a charmingly restored 3 bedroom stone farmhouse in the picturesque village of Vale de Souto. It's one of the oldest houses in the village built over 400 years ago. There are several river beaches close by which are perfect for a dip in the heat of the Portuguese sunshine. 200m up the road is the local cafe shop. Sertã and Oleiros are 10mins drive away, with larger supermarkets and some excellent restaurants. The space Restored in 2021, the farmhouse is well appointed with modern bathroom and ample kitchen dining space. 1 double bedroom, 2 twin rooms and a sofa bed accomodates 7 people. The inner courtyard with hanging hammock to rest in the cool respite from the Portuguese sun and a delightful roof terrace for alfresco dining and star gazing nights. Guest access Vale de Souto is a gorgeous village with 2 rivers running through it and several river beeches. Every house in the village has a strip of land in the food basin of the valley, full of olive and fruit trees and around half the plots still actively cultivated for food and herbs and grapes by the elderly residents. There are miles of hiking trails through the surrounding forests. Parking space in front of the house. Other things to note Casa do Linho is the perfect spot to retreat from the world into the rich cultural experience of living in a community of gardeners - wise human souls who are always so welcoming to strangers and generously share their passion and produce from their gardens. It's also a central base to explore the nearby towns and river beaches of Oleiros and Sertã. Wi-Fi is super fast and stable. One of the twin bedrooms is private with its own access to the street. The central heating system is connected to the open fire place in the kitchen. We'll light the fire ready for your arrival during the colder winter months.
