Cycle paths on almost all main roads as well as the Holtriem hiking trail, a circular hiking trail away from the main roads, invite you to cycle. The approximately 48 km long Holtriem hiking trail leads through scenic landscapes of Holtriem and connects existing economic routes to an attractive circular hiking trail. The idea for creating this hiking trail came about in 1987. Year after year, sections of the hiking trail were realized until 1991, when the last gap between Nenndorf and Westerholt was closed with the creation of the ‚Lang Pads‘.
