Description
Borgo Paradiso is a stone farmhouse dating back to the 1920s. Originally conceived as a structure used as an agricultural shed, it was later expanded and tastefully renovated by the current owner. A dwelling with a rustic flavor with typical floors with exposed beams and antique terracotta floors, but cozy and comfortable, completed by a refined annex used as a wellness area and equipped with a large Jacuzzi for 4 people, sauna and solarium. The space The true flagship of this property is the park around the villa, a spectacular botanical garden overflowing with colors and embellished with hundreds of species of plants and flowers that winds along a real natural path, within the property, and along the paths in the woods from which it is surrounded. Borgo Paradiso enjoys a happy hilly and panoramic position on the Metalliferous Hills. Located in the small village of Ciciano, a short walk from Chiusdino, made famous by the famous Abbey of San Galgano, it is in a good position to reach and visit in a short time the famous villages of the province of Siena such as Montalcino, San Gimignano or Chianti, and appreciate the unmistakable artistic and architectural charm. "...it is a vast countryside enlivened by all those beauties that the sublime genius of nature knew how to create. There are mountains that are partly always bare and partly verdant, and large valleys full of gushing springs and deep ditches. There you will find forests of tall Turkey oaks and tall ancient oaks; shady and silent chestnut groves; vast natural meadows. Nearby, white farmhouses lost in the countryside, small towns and villages; far away, among the confusion of growing haze, the towers of Siena and San Gimignano rise, and Volterra appears confused among the greenery, in a lucid serenity." (Dina Ferri 1908 – 1930, poet and writer born in Chiusdino). N.B. A small annex within the property is occasionally used, with the utmost confidentiality, by the owner who does not disturb the privacy of the guests or interfere with the areas of the park for their exclusive use. Interior: The farmhouse is spread across the ground floor. The entrance opens directly onto the living area with a living room, dining room and masonry kitchen (with wood-burning oven and fireplace) to form a single open space.
