Description
*Winter's Coming- Book your Cozy New England Cottage Now* This 2 bed, 1 bath unit has been redesigned to feature a modern kitchen, soaking tub and wood-burning fireplace. The unit also includes a roof deck that overlooks our mature maple trees and a sprawling front porch, complete with rockers. Beach Access 10 min away at Cedar Lake. Great for 1-2 couples, small families or group of friends—Ask about our single roll away bed or pack' n' play(s). Kid friendly! Hidden Gem / Retreat/ Beach Access The space Exactly 2 hours from Boston and New York-- What sets this space apart from the rest is it's location, size and added amenities. The space boasts nearly 1,200 square feet of living space, contains a large, well-appointed kitchen (to cook real meals) and a full-size washer/dryer. It's a 15 min walk to Chester Town Center (2 min drive), minutes to the highway and yet is set on a heavily wooded lot that allows for privacy. It's perfect for a weekend getaway, but also great for a weekly/monthly summer rental or a longer-term stay. Traveling nurses, actors, actresses and directors welcome. While summer is the most popular, every season here is lovely. Apple picking and cider donuts in the fall, Chester Center's Starry Night light display all winter long-- and the spectacular floral and cherry tree showing in the spring are all must-sees. There are also tons of great restaurants and the area has plenty of that classic New England village charm. The rental space is the front portion of our house and there is a second unit in the rear where my husband, daughters and I live. The two spaces share a (soundproofed) wall and there are two sets of doors that separate the units that remain locked at all times. The unit is very private. The unit is accessed via a keypad code system and instructions are provided upon prior to arrival . Small pets considered, additional fee required. Message for details. Guest access Guests have their own designated parking area for up to three cars. They have access to the entire front unit, as well as front porch and roof deck. Guests also have access to the town beach knowns as Cedar Lake. It is across town, approximately minutes away. The Lake is for Residents only, but guests are provided a non-resident pass to get in. Other things to note Spiral Staircase: You may have noticed the spiral staircase on the rear deck. Yes, this does lead to a pretty cool roof deck, which was has been rebuilt. Hope you enjoy it! Walk to Town Center: We don't want you to think we fooled you. This space is walkable to Chester Town Center, however it is a solid 15 minutes. From the end of the driveway, walk up the hill to Route 154 and cross the street. (Be careful on Old Depot and look both ways crossing the main street). From there you will be on the sidewalk. Take Main Street the rest of the way to the Town Center. There is a guest lot on Maple Street with a walkway that leads to the Town Center as well if you prefer to drive. Plenty of Parking downtown.
