Vikings Annex, Minehead

Vikings Annexe sits on the side of North Hill, enjoying coastal views over Minehead and across to Exmoor. Recently renovated throughout, it offers light, airy open-plan living with a large terrace running the length of the property, making the most of the outlook. It's a peaceful, spacious retreat well suited to couples or families with older children (sorry, no children under 11). The space Sleeping up to 4 guests, the property has two double bedrooms, each with a super-king zip-link bed that can be split into twins on request, and each with its own en-suite (one with a shower only, the other with a shower over the bath) and a smart TV. There's also a cloakroom off the entrance hall. The open-plan living area has a comfortable L-shaped sofa, a smart TV above an electric flame-effect fire, and sliding doors opening onto the south-facing terrace. The newly fitted kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge, slimline dishwasher, microwave, toaster and an instant hot water tap, with a dining table seating four. A utility room adjoins the kitchen with washing machine, freezer and extra storage, leading to a rear paved courtyard with washing line. Outside, the terrace features a garden dining set under a pergola plus additional seating, a private hot tub, and a heated outdoor shower. Glass panelling surrounds the terrace, though it isn't fully enclosed, so children should be supervised. Gas central heating, wifi and electricity are all included, and bed linen and towels are provided. The property is all on one level, though there are around 20 steps up from the parking area to the front door, so it is unfortunately not suitable for those with restricted mobility or wheelchair users, though special arrangements can sometimes be made with advance notice. Off-road parking for two cars is available, accessed via a shared drive with an electric gate. Sorry, no dogs permitted. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am.
