The fine sandy beach with shallow water zones offers children an ideal bathing paradise. It is also just a few minutes' walk to the Laboe harbor and to the seawater indoor pool. The splendid view of Kiel Fjord will delight you on your vacation. You can safely store your bicycles with us. An in-house parking space for your car and a bicycle rental are provided. We rent all year round! Laboe The idyllic Baltic Sea resort of Laboe (approx. 5500 inhabitants) is picturesquely located at the exit of the Kiel Fjord on the eastern shore. The former fishing village has developed into a popular holiday and seaside resort. Laboe is an old place and was first mentioned in 1240. The name Laboe derives from the Slavic "Lubodne", which means "Swan place". And even today, the swan is the heraldic animal of Laboe. The long, fine sandy beach slopes very gently towards the fjord, making it particularly suitable for families with small children. With the Kiel Fjord, one of the busiest waterways in the world, on the doorstep, "beach life" offers a special attraction for "sea people" who can watch the passing ships extensively. The panorama of Laboe is clearly dominated by the world-famous 85 m high marine memorial. This memorial commemorates the fate of all those who have remained at sea and is intended to call for peaceful seafaring on the high seas. From above, the visitor has a beautiful view over the fjord and the Baltic Sea in clear weather. At the foot of the memorial, the submarine u 995 has been located as a technical museum for several years. The movie "Das Boot" takes place on a submarine, which, like u 995, belongs to the famous class vii c. A visit to the U995 offers an impressive insight into the indescribable confinement in which the submarine men had to live for months. The Kiel Fjord is considered the sailing mecca ("Kiel Week") par excellence. In the immediate vicinity are the Danish islands of Langeland and Aero, the so-called "Danish South Seas." The pull-out sofa bed in the living area offers two additional sleeping places. For a fifth person, an extra bed can be added if necessary – practical if you are traveling with a child or friends. The open kitchen is fully equipped: ceramic hob, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and all necessary kitchen utensils. At the dining table in the living area, you can comfortably gather for breakfast or dinner together. In the living room, a comfortable sofa corner invites you to rest. Two TVs, Wi-Fi, a hi-fi system and a DVD player provide entertainment if you just want to stay indoors. The bathroom has a modern shower, toilet, cosmetic mirror and hair dryer. A washing machine and dryer are available for shared use in the utility room of the Parkpension. And there is more to discover: The large roof terrace with cozy lounge, sun loungers and barbecue is perfect for mild summer evenings. The lovingly designed wellness garden offers you real relaxation outdoors with a barrel sauna, hot tub and pool (seasonally usable from May to September). For bicycles, there are parking spaces outside as well as a lockable bicycle shed. You can park your car right at the house – a wallbox for electric vehicles is also available and can be used by all guests.
