SLEEPS 9: Max. of 8 x ADULTS + 1 x CHILD + COTS VILLAGE: Howells Mere ASPECT: South Facing / Lakeside Oak Lodge is one of a few enviable south-facing 'sunhouses' on Howells Mere. The elevated 1st floor balcony provides the perfect spot from which to sit and take in the natural light that pours into this home. Due to its position the hot tub seemingly hangs you out over the lake! This beautiful home offers its guests a sense of calm and a place to relax throughout the day and into the evening. The space POLITE NOTICE: PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE STRICTLY UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE LARGE PREDOMINATELY ALL ADULT PARTIES, UNLESS THE PARTY IS MULTI-GENERATIONAL and/or MULTI GENDER GROUP. SORRY NO HEN/STAG GROUPS GROUND FLOOR: The ground floor of the property is home to a welcoming entrance area, a family bathroom and 3 of the 4 bedrooms. The first bedroom at the front of the house features two twin beds. Opposite this bedroom is the spacious family bathroom, with both bathtub and shower. Due to the properties smart design, and the fact the other bedrooms each have access to private bathrooms, this means that there is a designated bathroom for each of the four bedrooms – making this property hugely popular amongst multigenerational families and friends. At the back of the house you will find 2 double bedrooms, both in a modern style with king size beds, double wardrobes, and en-suites. The larger, master bedroom, offers a bath and shower, whilst the second double provides guests with a shower room. Both bedrooms lead out onto the large outdoor terrace and enjoy stunning views of the beautiful Howells Mere Lake. Due to the property’s south-facing aspect, it enjoys sunshine for much of the day and into the evening - an extremely desirable location. This spacious decking area is one of many highlights of the property as it is right on the water (with a safety glass surround) and is the perfect relaxation spot from which to watch both the resident paddleboarders and kayakers, and the resident wildlife. The deck has dining space for 6, a parasol, a large rattan sofa and the hot tub – a real treat! FIRST FLOOR: On the first floor, the open plan lounge and kitchen/dining area is the hub of the house thanks to the vaulted ceiling and triple height windows which frame the picturesque views. The well thought out and modern décor of the lounge - centred around a beautiful Scandi style wood burner - allows for comfortable and stylish living, alongside a curved smart TV, Amazon Alexa smart speaker and super-fast broadband. The open-plan kitchen and dining area are fully equipped, making it the perfect entertainment space for families and/or friends. The balcony overlooking the lake to the rear of the property has a two-seater coffee area and a swinging egg chair, perfect for a sunrise coffee from the provided Nespresso machine. Additionally, the first floor provides the fourth and final bedroom, which has a triple bunkbed with full size double bed and single above. SECOND FLOOR: Finally, at the top of the house, you will find the mezzanine area that overlooks the expansive living and dining areas below. It is up here that you will find the children (of all ages!) playing on coffee table arcade machine – that includes classics such as Pacman and Space Invaders. You will also find a further shower room on this level that is perfect for the guests occupying the triple bunk bedroom below. Please note that the mezzanine area is open to the lounge below. PETS: Oak Lodge is a dog friendly house and welcomes guests with up to 2 small/medium sized dogs by prior arrangement. Guest access You will have the entire home during your stay. All guests will receive full rental access to the Luxury Spa for the full duration of their stay, included in the cost of their holiday - only a short walk from the property. Upon booking, you will receive a welcome email from us which includes a unique 'guest portal' and a detailed 'Journey to Arrival' PDF - a document created to assist and help plan your stay with us; including places to eat, places to visit, things to do and our FAQs. 14 days prior to your arrival day you will receive a further email (double check your spam / junk folders) which will include your 'cheat sheet'. This provides you with directions, a map, and codes to access the Estate and your property. Other things to note The Spa, swimming pools and gym are shared facilities with the other properties on Lower Mill Estate.
