With breakfast thrown in makes for a great value weekend away. Sofa and extra beds can be set up for addition guests and children to share. The space The Fitzroy Inn was built in 1834 and established in 1836. As a staging inn for south bound travellers, it was the first establishment to have a liquor licence with accommodation and boasts the first tennis court in Australia. The main inn has been retained in it's original condition yet upgraded with modern facilities and comforts. Guests enjoy large lounge rooms and open fires to suit the most discerning guest. The dungeon has been preserved to display the layout of the original kitchen which includes a well, cells and other areas used by the bygone residents and guests. In the past, the Inn has been called 'Oaklands Guest House' and more recently brought back to its original name 'The Fitzroy Inn as when it was built.
