Nestled within the Snow Summit ski area. No need to park at the ski resort, just walk through the complex to the lifts! Stay as close to the base of Snow Summit as possible, walk right to the lifts and go! Walk over to the redline west; the free trolley to the village. Family & Friends Cabin Walk to Snow Summit Lifts located adjacent to Snow Summit Ski Mountain is a cozy, family friendly cabin in the Snow Summit Townhome Estates with 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bathrooms located close to restaurants, shopping and the village. Well stocked kitchen with many small appliances is perfect to prepare wonderful home cooked meals, perfect for the entire family to walk to for mid-day rest or lunch while enjoying the day on the slopes! Sleds are provided for the kids to enjoying sledding nearby. The Space Steps to the Lifts with its exceptional location is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, athletes, families and friends who want to be walking distance to the slopes and hiking trails. The convenience factor of not having to fight the crowds to drive, find parking or take the shuttle can't be beat! Provided are games and books for the family and children to enjoy while relaxing around the gas fireplace. The jetted tub is a welcome relief after a day on the mountain. Maximum Occupancy is limited to Six people which is a city ordinance (99.300) - all bodies no matter age is counted toward the occupancy numbers. The city is very strict about occupancy! If you are over occupancy at any time (even when having dinner) while visiting, you could be fined from the city and evicted with no refund! Please do not put yourself in that situation. Vehicles: Free Parking. must display parking pass to avoid being towed by the HOA. - We have a maximum of two vehicles allowed, so only two parking passes provided. The Space This unit is a "reverse floor plan" that has the bedrooms downstairs and the living, kitchen, dining rooms plus 1/2 bath upstairs! KITCHEN: has full sized appliances (Stove, Oven, Dishwasher, Refrigerator), Microwave, plus many smaller appliances including but not limited to: Two types of coffee maker (Keurig and drip machine), Electric Tea Kettle and regular, Crock Pot, Rice Cooker, Bread Maker, Waffle Maker, Sandwich maker, panini grill, Toaster, and Blender. A wider assortment of pans, skillets and baking dishes round out the selection. LIVING ROOM: includes a large, comfy L- shaped sectional provides plenty of seating. The storage coffee table holds an assortment of throws to curl up with, two end tables, 50 inch wall mounted, flat screen tv (cable and wifi), exterior game port, entertainment unit holding an assortment of games and books (games and books for children also!), and a gas fireplace. LAUNDRY AREA: Full Size washer and dryer is located in the laundry alcove downstairs and can be closed off by folding doors. BEDROOM #1: This is the Primary (Master) en-suite Bedroom located at the back of the townhome, on the ground level at the end of the hallway. It has a King Bed, TV (cable and wifi), Blackout Curtains, Sink with mirror, storage bench with additional blankets and pillows, Tall Dresser, two nightstands, closet, and adjoining bathroom that includes a jetted tub (tub / shower combo) and toilet. Has private patio with lattice work fencing for added privacy. BATHROOM #1: This is the bathroom that adjoins the master bedroom - and has a jetted tub, which is a tub/ shower combo. BEDROOM #2: Located downstairs in the front of the unit- has blackout curtains, bunk bed bunk bed (adult sized single size) and a futon which folds out to a full size bed. There is a wall mounted tv (cable and wifi) exterior game port, small dresser and nightstand. BATHROOM #2: is a 3/4 bath Located across from the laundry area downstairs and next the bedroom #2, has shower, sink, toilet and storage cabinet. BATHROOM #3: is 1/2 bath located upstairs near the kitchen, has toilet and sink. OUTDOOR AREAS: FREE PARKING with passes in complex lot. There are no assigned spots. Complex lot is parallel / adjacent to Snow Summit Resort lot. BALCONY: is located off living room, contains outdoor chairs and small table year round. Nice place to kick back and enjoy the sun after a day of skiing. This is surrounded by lattice work fencing for privacy. PATIO: downstairs off the master bedroom contains outdoor furniture (table and chairs)- in storage during winter and early spring. Front porch/ entry: Bench conveniently located by front door. Convenient locked ski locker right by the front door. Security: One ring doorbell that records video and audio for 30 seconds. Any intentional covering up or tampering with this security device will result in immediate eviction without any refund! Big Bear Village: 15 minute drive or take the free trolley (get on at Snow Summit - 5 minute) Alpine Slide: 2.4 mile drive Bear Mountain Ski Resort: 2.9 mile drive or take the free trolley Grocery Stores: 1.6 mile drive or take the free trolley In Winter take advantage of walking to Snow Summit for night skiing , snowboarding, skiing or hanging out at the resort. In Spring, Summer and Autumn enjoy biking, hiking, boating, and fishing. The Towne Trail is a few steps away from our front door! Hop on your bike for a few minutes to the lifts at Snow Summit to enjoy one of the best lift-served downhill and cross-country trails in the region.. Guest access Entire home. If you are looking to "ski in - ski out", weather/ snow permitting: turn right at the front deck, go up the four steps, turn right at the sidewalk, then left where this sidewalk ends (about 4 more steps), go through the gate. Put on your skis and turn left - ski down on the back side of the condo complex. At the end of the complex grounds, cross the street and walk about 15- 20 feet to the lifts. (recommended to take skiis off when crossing the street). If you'd rather go hiking, turn right after the gate to the Towne Trail. Park in the complex lot with parking passes provided. Maximum of two vehicles. Other things to note We have a ring doorbell. This camera has a view of the front door and front entry porch area. All guests MUST sign (send electronic copy if possible) of "Good Neighbor Policy" prior to check in; or one will be provided during in person check in meeting. $30 fee paid directly to city approved check in representative. City has Maximum of six human bodies allowed in this space! (includes infants and children) NO Refunds for circumstances out of our control including but not limited to: Weather, Road Closures, Internet / wifi outages, Power Outages, Equipment Malfunctions. NO OVERNIGHT STAYS Allowed: Guests who stay beyond 11AM on day of check out without prior written approval will be considered trespassing and we reserve the right to have our security staff remove them. Due to lack of cleaner's availability, guests are not allowed make reservations departing on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter or 4th of July unless you're willing to pay double for cleaning fee - that is what they charge on holidays, double! Check out on the day after these major holidays is fine. You will receive parking passes for up to 2 cars. These passes ONLY work within the condo complex - they are NOT good for the Snow Summit Public Resort parking lot. Of course there is wonderful skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking opportunities ~ depending on the season. If you do not do these activities, a short walk to the end of the driveway takes you to the ski lodge - which is very cozy for a warm drink/ gathering of folks. For hikers (all seasons) at the top of the outdoor sidewalk/stairs behind our patio is where the hiking trail begins. Go right and you'll be in the village in about 15- 20 minutes! - or a 5 minute to drive. There are many activities for kids and families: To get to Alpine Magic Mountain -winter snow tubing down the hill - but you don't have to climb up! is as follows: at the bottom of Thrush Drive, turn left on Big Bear Blvd. Stay on the Blvd for about 2.4miles and Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain is on the left just past the curve. You can also go the the FunPlex (lazer tag, video games etc...) which is about 1 1/2 miles. Turn left at the bottom of Thrush Drive - it is on the left. There is a Bowling alley as well. Many great places to eat! Here are some of our favorites. Big Bear Mountain Brewery is cozy ~ located near the Alpine Slide area 40260 Big Bear Blvd, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315 We went as a family and were pleased they had food for kids! Big Bear Lake Brewing Company is located in the village just off Pine Knot - It's a bit more "hip" and loud. We sat outside on the tiny balcony to escape the noise. The beer was very good. Maggio's in the Von's shopping center is a family oriented Italian restaurant - great pizza and antipasto!
