Description

Appletree Guesthouse is an 800 square-foot “home away from home”. It sits nestled in the forested hills of Southwest Eugene, Oregon surrounded by fine Willamette Valley wineries. We strive to accommodate special needs, dietary restrictions, and other special requests (eg: anniversaries and birthday surprises). Our desire is to serve you well by “Each of us using whatever gifts we have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10 The space Appletree Guesthouse is located on a working family farm, adjacent to a main house (listed separately as Château De Appletree) where our family of 10 lives, works, and plays. You may see children out collecting eggs, walking dogs, or tending to the sheep. 🐑 We want our guests to enjoy all that we have to offer, so please request if you want to pet any of the animals, or walk the property. We have Katahdin hair sheep in the field who are very smart (as far as sheep go) and will escape if any gates are left open, so please leave gates closed. We also have a ram who will head-butt if someone tries to touch him, so we ask that you do not enter the field. So please take note, that you may hear the occasional farm sound, or distant dog bark. We try our best to keep these noises to a minimum. Although surrounded by possible busyness on the outside, Appletree Guesthouse has a wonderful atmosphere of relaxation and calm on the inside. The interior has added touches to make your stay enjoyable, and relaxing. We have a coffee/tea bar and drinks in the fridge for your enjoyment. There is a Traeger grill on the back deck, loaded with pellets and ready to go, and basic spices, oil, and butter in the kitchenette. Each room has a TV. Please take note that our kitchenette does not have a permanent stove/oven, but we have provided a portable double hot-plate that is stored underneath the counter, a toaster oven, a toaster, and a mini microwave so that all cooking needs are met. We’ve strived to choose the most comfortable mattresses, and bedding, with plenty of pillows and extra blankets as well. Even though we have one AC unit above the back door, it stays quite cool under the trees even on hot days (which in this part of Oregon are between June-Sept). We also have room fans for circulation. There are individual space heaters in each room, for your comfort as well. Guest access Guests staying in Appletree Guesthouse are asked to NOT enter the main house, or main deck area, unless there is a communication need or are invited to. Upon request, we can provide laundry service for $30 a load. Walking the property is OK. The “campground area” at the top of the property is a shared space with the MAIN HOUSE, which includes the fire pit, hammock, and benches/chairs. Appletree Guesthouse has its own driveway, parking area, and walkway, which allows for total separation from others. Other things to note 📌The kitchenette does not have a permanent stove/oven, instead we have a portable double hot-plate that is stored under the counter. 📌 Please do not bring pets to the guesthouse unless you are given special permission upon request. We will consider non-shedding dog breeds ONLY. If you bring a surprise pet, there will be a $100 fee sent. The normal Pet fee with permission is $50.
