This is a bright, relaxing, and comfortable home in a great location that was built by the owners with love. This is our primary residence but when renting, you will have the exclusive use of the house and property. We live down the road and will be able to assist with any needs and to make sure you have everything necessary for a great vacation. This house is unique as it is tucked in the woods with trees all around, yet you can easily walk to the village of cape porpoise. Special location tucked away from to road. Yard for kids to play with no worry of traffic. 5 minute walk to center of village....coffee shops, restaraunts, grocery store. Fish market just across the street with fresh lobster, clams, tuna, etc. We live off a beautiful dead end street perfect for sunset strolls with great views of goat island lighthouse. Complete use of the house and surrounding property. There is a workshop that is not open to guests but you wouldn't want to go in there anyway (it's a mess!) There is a playground for children with sandbox and slide. We also have chickens but the will not be let out unless the guests want them to be roaming around. You may help yourself to fresh eggs. We will be living just down the street so we are available if any questions or concerns arise. Cape porpoise is a fantastic location for accessing the beaches of southern Maine and the town of kennebunkport. Also just 35 minutes to Portland for some city action. (I know the big city people are laughing right now, but hey, for us it's a city!) We love living in our house because it's so quiet and off the beaten path yet so close to everything at the same time. We have a quaint little village that is walkable from our house. You can access a few restaurants, a grocery store, coffee shop, deli's, and plenty of pictures we scenery such as the fishing pier and the goat island lighthouse. Otherwise you could bike to a number of beaches including goose rocks beach or gooches beach. You could bike to dock square kennebunkport. Uber is also starting to be very available recently.
