Description
Gulliver cottage is the largest of 4 cottages at Trehill cottages. The 4 acres of grounds include 2 fishing ponds, outdoor pool (summer only), games room and lots of space to stroll or kick a ball about. The cottage itself has 6 bedrooms and sleeps 12. It has a spacious lounge with log burner, conservatory, patio with BBQ & private hot tub(extra cost). There is a large kitchen dining room with range cooker & oak dining table seating 12. Our private fishing ponds are just seconds away. The space The grounds and outdoor facilities (pool, fishing etc) are shared with the other 3 Trehill cottages & our Long Barn cottages (3 further cottages situated on a separate section of the Trehill estate). Gulliver has access to a private hot tub (extra charges apply) and an outdoor pool in summer. Gulliver adjoins two of the other cottages in a pretty courtyard by the lake. Gulliver Cottage layout Ground Floor Large kitchen dining room with table seating up to 20, range cooker, dishwasher, larder fridge & freezer Lounge areas Main lounge has wood burner, large 42" TV, DVD player & leather sofas seating up 12 Next to kitchen there is a small lounge annex with sofa and extra TV Sunny Conservatory with seating for 6, with door leading out to rear deck and hot tub Shower room and toilet Utility room with extra fridge & washing machine First Floor Kitchen wing - accessed by separate stairs. Two bedrooms(king and twin) with large shower room. Lounge wing - accessed by separate stairs. 4 bedrooms (king, double & 2 twins) and two shower rooms. Outside - rear deck with hot tub & spacious patio with picnic table seating 12 + masonry BBQ. Lovely views over the main fishing pond. The front patio also has a large fire pit. Perfect for keeping warm on those chiller evenings. Guest access There is a private lakefront patio with BBQ & a private rear deck with hot tub. The rest of the grounds are communal and shared with 6 other cottages. The outdoor poolThere is also a family friendly swimming pool. Being quite shallow (dimensions 80cm deep x7m long x 4m wide) it is perfect for a relaxing dip. The permanent dome keeps it clean and much warmer than normal for an outdoor pool. It is shared with the 3 other Trehill cottages, so will be available for you for two hours of private use per day. The Trehill estate consists of the 3 Trehill other cottages & our 3 Long Barn cottages. The pool is shared with the 3 Trehill cottages only. The grounds and games room are shared with the adjacent Long Barn cottages as well. Owing to severe staff allergies we are unable to accept bookings with pets. Other things to note A car is required, but we are just a minute or two from the nearest town with supermarket etc. We have also now added an EV charger which guests can access. Electricity is delivered at 7KW/H which will charge all cars overnight and is charged at cost. There is a usage fee for the private outdoor hot tub of £80/week or £60/ short break There is a small heated outdoor pool on site (summer only). This is bookable for private sessions. Dimensions 8mx4.5mx0.8m Fishing – please feel free to fish. You should bring your own gear and never leave equipment unattended. Remote/alarm fishing is not allowed. No keep nets. 1 rod per person. No boilies. You must bring your own gear as we do not supply fishing equipment. Essentials - we provide all listed "essentials" apart from cooking oil. You should find on arrival a pint of milk in the fridge. Tea, sugar, a packet of biscuits, washing up liquid & dishwasher tabs.
