Comfortably sleeps 4-6 on the main floor. There is an additional ladder loft as a bonus.  The Chalet also has central air and heat, flat-screen TV's in the bedrooms and the common room, outdoor charcoal grill, riverside firepit, and large lawn.  Guest access You will have access to the entire Chalet except for the basement. All common areas for the Chalet will be available for your use including outdoor decks, lawn, fire pit, riverside access and riverside beach Other things to note Paddler’s Lane pre-arrival information   Paddler's Lane does have cell service. Verizon and AT&T both have towers here Confluence is a very small town, about 400 people, so it doesn’t have big town amenities. It does have a gas station, car repair garage, bank, post office, cycle shop, river outfitter,  grocery store, pharmacy, vegetable market,  hardware store, churches, a dollar general and other small town amenities.  It has several restaurants and cafés. If you visit during the off season several of these dining establishments will have limited hours or will be closed so during this time you may want to consider going farther afield or opt for the more limited selection in town. All in all you should be able to get any of the basics that you need here. If you find yourself in need of anything of a more exotic nature Somerset is approximately 35 minutes away on 281 North and Uniontown is reached in half an hour or so by taking 281 South to 40 West .  Typical of many of the world’s rivers, the Youghiogheny is joined for much of it’s length by a set of train tracks. The train is a part of life on the river and should be thought of as such. It should not hinder your enjoyment of your surroundings. Our guests don't feel that the trains are detrimental to their overall experience. (A significant number of them join us because they are intrigued by the train! ) We think that you will agree.   We are located on a very rural private road. The constant drone of traffic or the roar of semis blowing by will not be a part of your day. Instead, this time of year, you will have the constant movement of the river in your back yard, the rooster voicing his wake-up call, the whistle and rumble of a passing train, and the wind finding its way through the trees. In the summer months humming birds add to the noise and the drone of cicadas is often a companion during the later summer months. Paddler's Lane is a non-smoking house. Smokers may use the front porch or back deck to light up. We'll be happy to provide ashtrays. Just a gentle warning; if you do decide to light up in the house please expect extra charges. To avoid stains and extra charges, we ask that you keep all food and beverages in the kitchen, dining or deck areas.
